Great insight into local life! - This was a fantastic trip! Our guide, Bunto, was extremely insightful and gave us lots of information about the floating village. We stopped in the village first and we saw the way of life of the villagers - preparing and smoking fish, how the houses are built and why the structure is beneficial for the region, and the education system for the children.
The boat ride to see the floating village was great. The boat was fairly comfortable and the scenic journey was peaceful. The locals were very friendly and always gave us a wave and smile!
I highly recommend this trip if you want something more authentic to local life.

Great tour guide and background information. - Tour guide was very knowledgeable and the villagers were very friendly. The tour guide was from around the area so knew lots of background information. We visited the village on the ground and saw how they smoked fish and lived. Later on we went out on a boat to see them on the water fishing and maintaining their nets.

Interesting afternoon trip - Very interesting afternoon trip. Went there by bus and then made a boattrip through the villages. Nice experience. Our guide (Sahai-Mister Handsome) explained everything very well.

Experience local lifestyle - This was a really wonderful experience! Mr Sarha our guide told our group all sorts of interesting information about the local people's fishing lifestyle and how the seasons affect them. The boat ride on the lake allowed us to see it all first hand, the houses on stilts and aspects of Cambodian culture that we would never have seen otherwise. Well worth it, and good to know that some of our tourist dollars help the village people with healthcare and education for the kids.

Unforgettable Experience - The tour was amazing. The locals were all really friendly and inviting. Dat was a great tour guide who kept things fun and informative. If you want to get a good understanding of what life is like for the locals of Kampong Khleang and experience a less tourist version of Cambodian life then this is the way to do it.

One of the best experiences in Siem Reap - I had the best experience in Kampong Khleang with Lin today. The village and the life/people there were still so authentic (not touristy at all), and the boat ride in the river to the lake was so interesting. Lin shared so many interesting stories about how people live during dry and wet season, which are also coming from his personal experience. Lin and the driver were so lovely, he is knowledgeable, funny, and spoke english proficiently. We had a lovely time exploring the town, the boat ride (the best!!) and finished with nice lunch at a restaurant. Thank you Lin 🤍
