RumSky Stargazing Adventure - We start by picking up our guest from all the local camps in Disi Area around 7:45 Pm in winter. (Summer times change, please check with us). Don’t worry we always pick you up after your dinner.
The adventure starts with a 20-minute presentation that takes you on a journey that sheds light on the cosmos.
As the presentation ends, we step out and begin our trek across the sky. We split our guests in 2 equal groups:
Group 1
Follow the light of the green laser surrounded by a candle track. A professional astronomer takes you around the night sky, explaining how to find directions in the night through the starsââ¬â¢ system.
Then explaining the daily and annual rotation of stars. We show our guests various constellations and horoscopes with the aid of the laser.
We explain ancient mythologies from various cultures. This session takes 35 minutes.
Group 2
Will spend time on large telescopes, computerized with GPS systems. They see various targets like: Galaxies, Nebulae, planets and its moons, etc.
The session is guided by another professional astronomer. This session takes 35 minutes. At the middle of the show. Group 1 and 2 switch.
At the end we take group photo with the night objects.

An excellent introduction for a star gazing enthusiast. - Fahzir was very knowledgeable and had a great way of explaining such difficult concepts. Mohammed his assistant was also very knowledgeable and showed us the constellations and Milky Way. I asked if it was true there were more stars than grains of sand and Fazhir said there were more stars than water molecules! That blew my mind.

An unusual night activity! - I highly recommend this activity that puts us in contact with unknown areas of the sky. The guide is very friendly and has a knack for popularizing observations with a telescope. He also has a lot of humor! I was amazed at this unusual activity!

Star gazing in the desert - We had a great time star gazing in the desert. We learned so much and got to see stars and constellations with the naked eye and through telescopes. It’s mind boggling to think about our place in this vast universe.

Educational and Very Interesting - Went on the Stargazing Adventure on May 22nd 2025.
I was a bit unsure because we've been to some of these in other countries but it turned out to be quite educational and it is my first time to actually use powerful telescopes.
Had the chance to see so many constellations and the team running the activity were there all along to explain and guide everyone.
The experience made up for the long wait to be picked up.
Well worth the price and a once in a lifetime experience.

Magical Experience. - We did the tour in February 2025, we were pretty sure that we would enjoy it and we ended up absolutely loving it, I would 100% recommend to anyone going to the area, it was magical and one of my favourite things I did during my time in Jordan.

Definitely A Must! - My group had an absolute blast here! The night was clear with no moon so we saw tons of stars, and even a couple planets! We were shown the various constellations visible, and were told the stories that go along with them. We were also allowed to use special telescopes to see the stars even better. The staff were clearly passionate about their work, and made the session memorable and fun. If you're in Wadi Rum this is one place you can't skip out on!

A trip only for English speakers - لو انت عربي فالرحلة دي مش ليك، طلبت من الـ Guide يترجم جزء واحد عربي اللي كان بيتشرح فيه هنشوف ايه في كل منظار، المعاملة كانت سيئة والترجمة كانت مختصرة جداً حسستني بقلة احترام
If you’re not an English speaker (very good one) this show is not for you. I don’t mind but they should have said that before taking our money.
