Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis

Pyramids of Giza - After breakfast at the hotel, at 8 am, an expert tour guide will pick you up to begin a full-day visit to the Giza Pyramids. Explore the Great Pyramids of Giza - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Visit the Valley Temple, where priests mummified King Chephren, who built the second pyramid at Giza Plateau. Here, you can also get a close-up view of the Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. Take professional photos with the assistance of your guide.

Memphis and Sakkara - Continue your tour to the Sakkara area, located 27 km southwest of Cairo. Visit the Step Pyramid, also known as the Zoser Pyramid, an important part of the pyramid evolution from a simple mastaba to its well-known form. This pyramid is considered the first stone structure in the world.

Statue of Ramses II - Proceed to Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, to see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Nile River - (Optional) Enjoy a $40 per person dinner cruise, including transportation, dinner, a belly dancer, and a Tanura show. Overnight at your hotel.

Pompey’s Pillar - Visit Pompey’s Pillar, followed by the Catacomb of Kom El-Shoqafa, which includes tombs on three levels and the Triclinium, where relatives feasted the dead. Inside, find 2nd Century AD statues of Sobec and Anubis in Roman armor.

Kayetbai - Visit Elsawary, Montaza Garden, Alexandria Library, and from the outside, see Qaytbay Citadel and El Mursi Abu Elabas. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Alexandria.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After breakfast at the hotel, depart by air-conditioned vehicle back to Cairo. Upon arrival, begin your day tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The museum displays a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the treasures, gold, and jewelry of Tutankhamen, which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s.

Old Egypt For Fine Art - Visit the old part of Cairo, as Egypt was one of the first countries to embrace Christianity.

Synagogue Ben Ezra - Visit the Church of Abu-Sergah and St. Berbara, the Hanging Church, and the old Jewish Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Cairo Day Tour Visiting Islamic and Christian Cairo

Islamic Cairo - At 8:00 am, an Emo Tours guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo to start a full-day tour of Islamic Cairo, founded in 641 A.D. by the first Muslim leader, Amr Ibn Elas. Visit and enter the Amr Ibn Elas Mosque, built in 642 A.D. in the El Fustat area.

Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan - Visit the largest mosque in Cairo, the Sultan Hassan Mosque, also known as Madrasa El Sultan Hassan, founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D. This massive Mamluk-era mosque and madrassa is located near the Citadel in Cairo. Its construction began in 757 AH/1356 CE and ended three years later. The mosque was remarkable for its size and innovative architectural components, designed to include schools for all four Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali.

Al-Rifa’i Mosque - Visit the Al-Rifa’i Mosque, located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan. This mosque was part of a 19th-century campaign by Egypt’s rulers to associate themselves with the glory of earlier periods in Egypt’s Islamic history and modernize the city.

Cairo Citadel - Visit the Citadel of Cairo, where you can see the famous Mohamed Ali’s mosque, known as the Alabaster Mosque.
