Blair Athol Distillery - Located in Pitlochry, Blair Atholl Distillery is the next destination. Guests will experience a full distillery tour followed by a tasting of three single malts.
Dalwhinnie Distillery - Continuing north, the tour reaches Dalwhinnie Distillery, situated high in the Cairngorm Mountains, making it the highest altitude distillery in Scotland. A guided tasting of three single malts is included here.
Speyside Centre - The journey continues into Speyside, where guests are dropped off at their chosen accommodation for the evening.
Speyside Tour: The Speyside Cooperage and Glenlivet, Cardhu, and Aberlour Distilleries
Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre - After picking up guests from their accommodation, the tour visits The Speyside Cooperage for a tour, showcasing coopers at work preparing casks. A tasting of the Cooperage’s own single malt follows. Note: The Cooperage is open Monday to Friday; on weekends, the tour begins at Glenlivet with a complimentary dram during lunch.
The Glenlivet Distillery - As one of the first licensed distilleries in the area, Glenlivet has a rich history, including smuggler trails surrounding it. The stop includes a tour and a tasting of three single malts.
Craigellachie - The tour stops in the quaint village of Craigellachie for lunch at the Highlander Inn, a traditional pub offering a selection of over 300 whiskies from around the world.
Cardhu Distillery - Perched above Speyside, Cardhu Distillery was once owned by a smuggler. Now owned by Diageo, the stop includes a guided tasting of three single malts.
Aberlour Distillery - Currently constructing a new visitor center, Aberlour Distillery offers a tasting of three of their exquisite single malts.
Tour of The Macallan, Glenfiddich, and Glenallachie Distilleries before Returning to Edinburgh
Glenfiddich Distillery - As Scotland’s largest producer of single malt whisky, Glenfiddich offers a tasting of two Glenfiddich and two Balvenie single malts in their whisky lounge. Gin is also available for those who prefer it.
The GlenAllachie Distillery - The next stop is Glenallachie Distillery, owned by whisky industry veteran Billy Walker, a member of The Whisky Hall of Fame. Guests can enjoy a tasting of three of their delightful expressions.
Dowans Hotel & Restaurant - After leaving Glenallachie, the tour stops for lunch at The Dowans Hotel in Aberlour, one of the area’s finest hotels.
The Macallan Distillery - The final distillery visit is to the renowned Macallan Distillery, featuring an award-winning visitor center. Guests can enjoy a guided tasting of three single malts at the bar. Note: The Macallan is open to visitors Thursday to Sunday.
The House of Bruar - On the return journey through the Cairngorm Mountains to Edinburgh, the tour stops at The House of Bruar for a restroom break. Known as the Highlands’ Harrods, a 30-minute stop is planned, with the option for more time if desired.
Edinburgh - The tour is expected to return to Edinburgh between 6pm and 6:30pm, with drop-off at guests’ accommodation or chosen city destination.
