Dream Desert safari with Rehan 100 percent Recommended - I went for Desert Safari in Abu Dhabi and honestly it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was alone girl but I never felt uncomfortable or scared. Everything was very safe and well managed from start to end.
First we did dune bashing and it was soooo crazy and fun 😅 The car was going up and down on big sand dunes like roller coaster. I was screaming and laughing same time. The driver was very professional and I felt safe even when the car was sliding on sand.
After that we stopped in middle of desert for sunset pictures. The view was just wow. The sand was looking golden and the sky color was so beautiful. I took many pictures there.
Then we went to the camp. There were many activities to do. I did camel ride and it was such a nice experience. Sitting on camel in desert made me feel like real Arabic life. I also tried sandboarding and it was really fun sliding down from the dune. There was also quad bike on sand and it looked very exciting.
In the evening there were shows. Tanura dance was very beautiful, the man was spinning and spinning with colorful dress, I don’t know how he was not getting dizzy 😅 The fire show was also amazing, he was playing with fire like magic.
Because it was Ramadan, there was no belly dance show. And honestly I respect this so much. In Ramadan they don’t do belly dance and I really liked this. It felt respectful and nice according to holy month.
I was fasting that day and Rehan Hani specially arranged iftar stuff for me. He gave me dates and drinks on time for opening fast. This thing really touched my heart. He did not forget that I am fasting. He is very humble, kind and caring person. As a alone girl I felt very comfortable because of him. He always asked if I am okay and enjoying.
Food was very good also. BBQ, rice, salads, everything was tasty and fresh. Opening my fast in desert was such a beautiful feeling.
Main highlight of my whole trip is Rehan Hani. All credit goes to him. He made my desert safari special and unforgettable. His driving in dune bashing was perfect and safe. He helped me in everything and even took nice pictures for me.
If anyone is coming Abu Dhabi for desert safari, I highly recommend to go with Rehan Hani. He is not just tour guide, he is very humble and amazing person.
Thank you Rehan Hani for beautiful memories in desert 🤍🏜️

Family trip to dune “camp” - We were on a girls trip, mom and 3 daughters (21/16/7 years old). Our guide was Ateeq. The activities were just as in a trip description. We were picked up from the hotel and then had around 1 hour drive to “camp”, and as was noted, there was enough water in the car for the trip - so no need to worry . As we came, we did dune driving. We really enjoyed it, even tho at some moments it was very scary, it felt like the car could roll over any second, same as roller coaster - but everything was fine, the driver was experienced, we definitely received a lot of adrenaline. After that, we went to camel riding, there also was a photographer which took photos of us (good ones) and it was 50 dirhams per a printed photo (laminated). Also, there were horses, falcon and buggy for extra charge.
Then, we had a short drive to dunes to try sand boarding. The guide explained how to sit / stand properly. Our 7yo child was amazed, well, we all were, sand boarding is so cool. But please mind that gettin up the dune after you slide down takes a lot of energy. The kid had much more energy than adults. Also, we did sunset photoshoot there, the guide was taking photos. As we came back - we had a dinner with national dancing (more like turning ) man and fire show. If you are going with kids or food-sensitive people - bring some snacks with you. The food was tasty, but spicy + there were salads. We ended up ordering regular French fry for our kid, so all good. Moreover, you can also order shisha there.
Additionally, I would love to say big thanks to our guide, Ateeq. He was helping us with everything. At the end of the trip we got all the photos he was taking of us - so we have a lot to choose from. If we didn’t like something - he helped us handling it, like with food for a kid - he bought us the French fry. Plus, on the road back he bought us some National cup of black tea (it was indeed different from the tea we usually have, was tasty and sweet). Further more, the thing I recommend is to have maybe 300 dirhams on you, cause purchasing stuff with cash is cheaper then usuing a card. Our guide helped us with this too, as we didn’t have much cash, he brought us to ATM to withdraw some.
Ovearall: we recommend to go on such a trip. As said, it was around 6 hours total - which is perfect when you have kids. They can and enjoy and have some rest when needed. Just bring a snack if you don’t like spicy food and bring cash if you are planning to do extra activities/ buy smth.

Great anticipation with little fireworks. - When your expectations are high and the results are lackluster you feel disappointed. The safari adventure has the potential to be so much more. I will say this, the performer with the fire rope and fire wheel is a highlight.

Delay, bulk handling and many extra costs - Pickup was 1.5h later than agreed although we were the first. The driver said about traffic but if I'm local, I know when there's a lot of traffic and I'll just leave early. After that we had to collect another pair. So we only started at 4.30pm for the excursion.
On site we would quickly be transported into a car and drove 5min over small dunes. Once at the camp, there was only water. Everything else had to be bought. The VIP area specified on the booking will be collected again on site. Here you get soft drinks and juices and also an earlier meal. For all the others who are not willing to pay extra again there is dinner at 7am and shortly afterwards they are driven home. All fast, loud through the quads... I'm sure this has nothing to do with desert idyll.
We've been to the desert before and we know what we're talking about. We cannot recommend this trip.

The worst!!!! - If I could rate this 0/5 I would. They say they’ll come at 2.30 and the driver turns up at 1.45 telling us to hurry up or he’ll leave without us.
Tell us they’ll stop for ages for nice pictures on the dunes. Well let me preface this by saying they drive to a dirty party at the edge of the desert. Whilst we were driving in I was praying this wasn’t it. Well lo and behold it was. They force you to pay there and then if you haven’t already. Adding on 10% for card payment which you aren’t told about until after you e booked.
Now you’re stuck on the edge of the desert with no way out. The dune bashing is 10 mins tops. The driver stinks the holy heavens of dry sweat and is getting non stop phonecalls. He stops for pictures and is on his phone the whole time and doesn’t take a single picture.
You arrive at the 🤢 disgusting fly infested filthy site and are made to go on a camel for 30 seconds and told any longer is chargeable. They put head gear on your head and a falcon on your arm then try and get more money off you straight away which we refused.
In you go to the filthy badly ‘decorated’ patch of sand for your awful evening. Like a horror movie you are trapped. The horrible men that own it aren’t even locals or Emirati at all. So it’s not authentic in anyway. When asked what time they’ll serve food and drink they say 7.30pm. It is now 3pm. Coach loads of people who have also been ripped off start arriving. It’s utter chaos.
The only thing available is warm water in awful squashy plastic ‘cups’. We all wanted to cry that we’d wasted a day trapped in the desert which a bunch of conmen. Do us a favour and please heed this as a warning.
Avoid at all costs and do it yourself to avoid disappointment. Needless to say, the worst trip/excursion we have ever wasted money on. I have reported to chat gpt who had the audacity to recommend this hell hole. Stay away! You have been warned

Terrible experience - Worst experience I have ever had in AD. Even after messaging the operator, got no feedback or apologies for what we endured! Shocked.
