  If you are familiar with the actress Salma Hayek as Frida Kahlo in the movie “Frida,” and Alfred Molina as Diego Rivera, her husband in the film and in real life, you will surely appreciate this mural. Acapulco proudly hosts some of Rivera’s most renowned murals. After Frida Kahlo’s era, Diego crafted this enormous outdoor mural as a gift for his beloved girlfriend, Dólores Olmedo (Lola Olmedo). Be captivated by this 3D facade wall mural, located on Dolores Olmedo’s property since 1956. This is not a fresco but rather some of the most vibrant and inspired mosaic work, featuring volcanic rocks and seashells from Rivera’s extensive career. It showcases three-dimensional pre-Hispanic deities, standing out in relief from the flat surface.

Perched atop Acapulco’s highest cliffs, 450 feet high, it offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean. The hotel’s bar is renowned for creating the “Coco Loco” drink, famous worldwide. Johnny Weissmuller and John Wayne welcomed a stream of Hollywood jet-setters from the 50s to the 80s. Known as the “Hollywood ‘gang’ hideaway.”

The store offers a variety of Mexican art crafts, including art craft bowls, colorful embroidered dresses, and a jewelry shop section specializing in sterling silver from Taxco town, featuring original, custom jewelry & art folk. The opal is a magnificent gemstone that contains all the colors of the rainbow, resembling an artist’s palette. All price ranges are available.
• Sinfonia Del Mar - FAMOUS DIVERS SHOW has 2 options.
  ●1st OPTION: from scenic overlooks “Sinfonía del Mar” (this is the one offered on this tour). We will park along the scenic overlooks, allowing you to easily step out and enjoy breathtaking views from this balcony to the impressive cliffs, providing a perfect vantage point to watch the divers perform.

●2nd OPTION: (Public terrace at Diver’s site) this is extra. Only for passengers who prefer to view the show from a “closer” point. Donation $5 US each at entrance. Please let us know in advance if you choose the 2nd option so we can drop you off at the divers’ entrance. After the show, we will pick you up to continue with our sightseeing tour.
NOTE: A piece of advice regarding the second option: it involves a 160-step descent and ascent, as well as being amidst the crowds on the public terrace, which is often filled with cruise ship passengers. Kindly share this information with your family group and inform us of your choice ahead of time.
