Great tour with great guides - Michael, our tour guide was excellent, gave us a lot of pre-requisite information that improved our appreciation of the tours of Dubois’ home & life and Kwame Nkrumah’s life and political work. The museum helped shed light on life in Ghana from the stone age, to cultural life, matrilineal societies and so much more

Thank you Emmanuel ! - My boyfriend and I had a tour to the Boti falls, the umbrella rock, the Arburi gardens and the cocoa farm with Emmanuel on the 23rd of December. There were 2 other persons with us, we had plenty of space in the van, AC and even internet. It was a really great tour with great atmosphere. Emmanuel explained everything to us. He was very kind, always checking on us, and shared his positivity and knowledge with happiness. Everything went smoothly. Because we were so happy, we asked to have another tour with him for the Accra tour, this time with my parents and brother. Once again, we spent a great day together, from the WEB Dubois center to the Ghana museum, Nkwame Nkrumah, in dépendance square and finishing with a view on top of the market. Really 100%!

Definitely recommend - After a small mix-up with the tour company regarding the exact tour booked, everything was quickly sorted and we were on our way for the day. The driver called the night before to confirm pickup and arrived right on time.
Emmanuel was incredibly friendly, engaging, and truly made the experience worth every penny. Our group was small, and he made a point to ensure no one was left behind—often doing random name checks to keep everyone together. He happily helped with photos and assisted with translations when needed.
He drove safely and even provided bottled water, which was a thoughtful touch. I highly recommend this tour for both solo travelers and families visiting Ghana.

Accra Essentials: A Cultural and Historical Introduction - This was the very first tour we took during our trip to Accra, and I’m glad we started here. It provided an excellent foundation, touching on many of the essentials needed to understand the city’s landmarks and culture. If you want a meaningful introduction to Accra, this tour delivers. Our guide, Matthew, was communicative, courteous, accommodating, and professional—qualities that made the experience even more enjoyable. Pick up and drop off were great! Matthew was punctual, conscious of the timing during the tour, and the transportation was comfortable.
W.E.B. Du Bois Center – A glimpse into the man with the vision. Our tour guide at the Center, Kofi, offered a clear and insightful overview of Du Bois’s life, influence, and legacy. Experiencing this history in the home where Dubois lived as a Ghanaian citizen in his final years—and where his body now rests—was moving.
Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park – A beautiful and meaningful tribute to the man who led Ghana to independence. The grounds themselves are striking, especially the fountain and the mausoleum. The tour highlighted both the triumphs and the struggles of the independence movement, the diplomatic efforts that shaped it, and the enduring legacy of Nkrumah’s leadership. Standing here, you feel the weight of history and the pride of a nation.
Independence Square – A landmark of national significance, used for government ceremonies and large public events, but also available for private gatherings. The Freedom & Justice monument commemorating Ghana's independence stands majestically on one side of the street, and across the street, the Black Star Arch looks proudly over the square with the ocean in the background. Independence Square is a simple yet powerful symbol of Ghana’s identity.
National Museum of Ghana – A quick yet fascinating anthropological journey through Ghana’s past. The exhibits begin with early artifacts and tools excavated from the region, then expand into the diverse cultures that make up modern Ghana. The museum offers a vivid window into traditions, customs, and colorful celebrations that define the nation’s heritage.
Makola Market – What a spectacle! No description could prepare me for the sheer size and scope of this market. Our guide, Matthew, led us up five flights of stairs to the top of a parking structure for a bird’s-eye view—and only then did I understand the scale. To walk every street, corridor, and booth would take miles and more than a day. Vendors stretch as far as the eye can see.
Important Note: This tour is not designed for shopping at Makola Market. If you want to spend time browsing and buying, I recommend visiting on your own or joining a tour dedicated solely to the market. Here, the purpose is to grasp the awe of its scale. Thankfully, Matthew later took us to a smaller market where we could buy souvenirs. That thoughtful adjustment made the experience smoother, as coordinating shopping for a group—even our small group of five—would have consumed the rest of the day.

Excellent tour - Great overview on some of the history and influential people of Ghana. Very interesting all the places visited. I very much liked that we joined other small groups at most of the places visited and received a more in depth experience. Driver, Emmanuel, was great. He was on time, polite, provided information and answered questions. Excellent tour.
