Cape Coast Castle - The Cape Coast Castle is one of the largest castles still standing in Ghana today, built by European forces. Great experience! - The tour was great and my husband and I would highly recommend! Our driver (Daniel) was very friendly and knowledgeable. The pickup was easy to organize and he arrived on time. The drive was long but worth it once we got to the sites. Daniel was an expert level driver, especially with the heavy traffic and through the bumpy construction zone. The castles were very informative and the canopy walk at the national park was excellent!

Wonderful - The entire experience was amazing including our tour guide. We did run into a bit of a hiccup which was a tire blowout but all the men on the tour bus all worked together to help the bus driver change it swiftly and we were back on the road. This is an ALL DAY tour so please don’t plan to do anything else with your day because you will be picked up early and get back to your location late. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Fantastic experience - breathtaking and informative - My wife and I enjoyed the hell out of this experience, which was alternately breathtaking, beautiful, and intense (not physically). The scenery is incredible, and the guide and driver did a wonderful job of narrating about the areas we drove through as well as the sites on the itinerary. The sites dealing with the history of slavery are powerful and I find it hard to believe any visitor - especially Americans like us - could visit without being affected. Be aware that this is a lot of driving, probably close to 5 hours in the van cumulatively. Small children (there were two in our tour group) may have their patience tested. Honestly this is more of an "adults" thing - kids will like the National Park with the jungle canopy walk, but the historical sites will be hard for really small kids to appreciate I believe. That said, a young boy on the tour of Elmina Castle asked the guide, "Did my ancestors have to stay here" and, well, everyone was pretty choked up at that. Crowds are present at all of these sites. Nothing unmanageable, nothing overwhelming, but be aware that these are all popular things to see - by locals as wel as tourists like me. Go. Do it.

Exceptional and Cultural Experience - My visit to Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle, and the Kakum National Park Canopy Walkway was nothing short of powerful, educational, and unforgettable. At Cape Coast Castle, our tour guide Joseph was exceptionally professional and deeply knowledgeable. He presented the history with clarity, respect, and compassion, ensuring we fully understood the significance of the site while creating space for reflection. His ability to balance historical facts with emotional awareness made the experience truly impactful. At Elmina Castle, Thomas was equally outstanding. His delivery was engaging and informative, bringing history to life in a way that was both captivating and thought-provoking. His passion for sharing the stories and preserving the legacy of the site was evident throughout the tour. The Kakum Canopy Walkway was an adventure! Walking high above the rainforest was exhilarating and offered breathtaking views. However, it’s important to note that getting to the canopy requires a vigorous, rocky hike. I would strongly advise that anyone with leg or back issues proceed with caution or reconsider, as the trek can be physically demanding. A special thank you to our driver Emanuelle, who was incredibly thoughtful, patient, and professional. He ensured our journey between locations was smooth, safe, and comfortable, adding an extra layer of ease to the entire experience. Overall, this was a deeply enriching and well-coordinated experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ghana who wants a meaningful blend of history, culture, and adventure.

LIVELY GUIDE & FUN GROUP - The Team communicated sufficiently before the trip on booking and were responsive to questions. The guide was friendly and lively. He was knowledgeable as well as planned ahead for our meals, shortening our wait time for lunch. I was also lucky to find a really fun group on the tour. The trip is 5hrs long each way, which is a brutal drive, I would recommend that they provide more than one bottle of water. The experience is intense and Kakum Forest is a great way to decompress the emotions of the castle tours I however highly recommend these guys for your Cape Coast tours, in Ghana

Good Tour, Poor Transport - A good experience with very good tour guides. Transport was in a people carrier for 4hrs there and 4hrs 30mins back. Very uncomfortable for a 6ft man even though we stopped off after an hour and a half on the way there. We didn't stop for 4hrs 30mins on the way back and my knees were aching as a result. We wasn't offered a toilet break either.

Tour is amazing. Getting there? not so much - Mr. T is a deeply knowledgeable and compassionate guide. The tour of the castles was transformative. Kakum was a beautiful way to decompress and connect with nature after the emotional weight of experiencing the nightmare history of the slave trade. The van trip to get there on the Accra-Cape Coast Road, however was terrible. The 4-star rating is not for this tour company, but for the mismanagement of the road project, which has ruined the livelihoods of the people living along it and was one of the worst travel experiences ever. Tour companies have no choice but to use the road to get from Accra to Cape Coast. Tourists should refuse to travel on this road until it is fixed.
