After a brief introduction and orientation, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing experience of Accra. There will be a scenic drive through the beautiful and expansive campus of the University of Ghana, Legon, in a private air-conditioned vehicle.
Visit Jamestown Community, one of Accra’s most historic neighborhoods where history is present on every corner. It is best known for its lighthouses (the first constructed in 1875 by the British) as a navigational aid for trading vessels sailing through the Gulf of Guinea. The original structure was destroyed, but a larger and improved lighthouse completed in 1921 is still operational today.
Experience the vibrant atmosphere at the Fish Market by the seashore as fishermen dock their boats and fishmongers sell their catch.

After breakfast, depart the bustling city of Accra for one of Ghana’s beautiful eco-touristic sites where the lake meets the ocean - Ada Foah.
On the way to Ada, stop to visit Independence Square, where you will see the enclosed flame of African liberation, lit by Dr. Kwame Nkrumah in 1961.
Next, visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, the final resting place of Ghana’s first president. Set in attractive gardens, there is an adjoining museum containing photos, artifacts, and insights into Dr. Nkrumah’s life.
Continue to Ada Foah, arriving in time for lunch (on your own account) on the beach. This evening, explore the surrounding small communities on foot.

Today, check out for another adventure at the coastlands of Ghana. Enjoy a scenic drive through the lush greenery from Ada Foah to Elmina.
Arrive in Cape Coast in time for lunch (on your own account). This afternoon, visit Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the departure points for Africans being sent to slavery in the Americas. The Castle is home to the “Door of No Return”.
Check into your beach resort and stroll around to explore the small animal sanctuary at the resort. You will likely see some of the most fascinating animals that grace the resort, including horses, crocodiles, and donkeys.

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning.
Take a walk around the resort, reminiscent of a Discovery Channel episode. If the well-mannered donkeys don’t amuse you, the friendly midget ponies will surely have you posing for pictures.
A must-do at the resort is bird watching. From flamingos to pelicans, all-white and colored peacocks, black swans, and several other exquisite bird species, experience the calming effect of bird watching. You can even feed the flamingos!
Later in the afternoon, enjoy another boat trip to the Mangroves and Island to explore the work of local gin producers on the island who are committed to responsible tourism and environmental protection.
