A beautiful and moving adventure - Dennis and Joseph “Akom” were amazing. Dennis picked my mom and I up from the Kempinski Hotel Sunday morning and we had a long scenic drive to Cape Coast. We stopped along the way for fresh coconut water and took photos. Our tour of Cape Coast Castle was very moving. We appreciate our guide’s attention to detail. The Lemon Beach Resort was beautifully and sustainably designed. Our lunch was delicious. We had a semi private dinner and show on the patio of the restaurant. Our 3 course dinner with wine pairing was beautifully displayed and tasty. The chef came to greet us as he was very personable and wanted to be sure we were pleased. The show kept our attention as it was interactive and fun. We had a yummy buffet breakfast before heading to our batik workshop. Here we met Elisabeth, her daughter and friendly crew that helped us design our very own fabric. We learned so much and they were patient and kind. From here we traveled to Elmina Castle with Joseph “Akom.” We had a very informative tour guide. This was just as moving as Cape Coast. Here we purchased a thumb drive that has a documentary of the 2 castles and the history of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade. I also purchased T-shirts and a unique kaftan. We returned to the hotel to have lunch before taking our long drive back to Accra. Another delicious meal had. We returned to Accra after 7pm as the unpaved roads are bumpy and dark. However, both Dennis and Joseph “Akom” were excellent drivers who maneuverer well and kept us safe. Thank you! I would definitely be back with my husband and our adult children. I recommend Zion Tours Africa for exceptional service when visiting our beautiful country.
