• Cape Vani - Cape Vani is a site of historical significance on Milos, located at the northernmost point of the island, 25km northwest of the port of Adamantas.

Vani was once a submerged volcanic crater and is renowned for its abandoned manganese mines, which began operations in 1898. The mining activities have left the ground covered in fine orange sand. The landscape is further enhanced by a massive rock formation with vertical cuts and horizontal layers in striking black and ruby colors.

In this area, visitors can explore old tunnels, caves, and the ruins of buildings near the mine, as well as a large opening at the cape’s edge. Locals affectionately refer to Vani as “bacon” due to its color resemblance. (!)

Tip: A small path leads to a beach adorned with colorful stones.

The final swimming stop is at Galazia Nera Bay, the island’s signature spot, featuring a narrow bay with steep white rocks, white sand, and transparent light blue waters, famously known as the “Blue Lagoon.”

• Klima - Klima Village was once bustling with fishermen. The unique architecture allowed them to dock their boats right in front of their homes. Today, many of these houses are rented to tourists, helping to keep the village vibrant and welcoming.
