The tour includes visits to the National Museum, home to the renowned 3.2 million-year-old hominid fossil remains of Lucy, Mount Entoto, offering a panoramic view from the highest point in Addis at an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level, Trinity Cathedral, a stunning church featuring a unique baroque style of European architecture found only in Ethiopia and Africa, the Ethnographic Museum, and Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa.

Erta Ale - After breakfast, guests drive to the active volcano Erta Ale, known as the “smoking mountain” in the local Afar language. A trek of approximately 3 hours leads to the summit of the Erta Ale Volcano’s lava lake, followed by an overnight camping experience.
Drive to Mekele
Emperor Yohannes IV Palace - After breakfast, the journey back to Mekele begins. In the late afternoon, guests have free time to relax and unwind at their hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Fly back to Addis Ababa
Mercato Market - After breakfast, guests are transferred to the airport for their flight back to Addis Ababa. The afternoon is reserved for leisure and shopping. In the evening, a farewell traditional dinner is arranged at one of Addis Ababa’s finest restaurants, featuring folkloric dances from various Ethiopian cultures. Guests are then transferred to the airport for their flight home, marking the end of the tour.
