Excellent Tour of Addis Ababa - Excellent tour of Addis Ababa today with Alex. I chose this tour because it had the most comprehensive itinerary. There was so much to see and having a separate driver removed the hassle of searching for parking at each location. Many of the sights do not have a lot of information in English so Alex’s narration was great. It was clear he knows his subjects because other tour guides stopped us to say Alex had taught them. Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Addis Ababa.

Good overview of parts of this large city. - Good overview of the city. The visit to the Mercato was difficult due to the rain and the time of the day on Friday conflicting with mosque traffic.

Superb Tour with Sir Alex - Our city tour with Alex was nothing short of fantastic 🌟 He did such a great job with giving us deep insights into the history of Ethiopia and Addis. We went to all the key spots we wanted to and enjoyed a delicious lunch at a local spot. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. We really had a great day so much so my husband named him "Sir Alex"! We also can't forget to mention our driver, Seifa, was also superb. He drove well and we always felt safe 🙏🏽 don't hesitate, this was a top tour with a stellar team navigating us through Addis Ababa.

Wonderful Tour of Addis Ababa with Alex! - We had a lovely half-day tour in Addis Ababa with Alex, and he made the experience truly special. We originally planned to visit the famous Mercato, but since it was a Sunday, many of the shops were closed. Alex immediately suggested a great alternative — a local market — where he guided us through, helped us negotiate prices, and made sure we found exactly what we were looking for. He also took us to the museum where Lucy is, which was absolutely fascinating, and to Beata Church, a peaceful and beautiful place. Throughout the tour, Alex was so kind and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. He answered all of our questions (we had a lot!) with patience and enthusiasm. What made the experience especially memorable was Alex’s passion for his country. He spoke so proudly about Ethiopia — its culture, history, and people — and you could really feel how much he loves sharing it with others. That passion brought everything to life in a deeper way. Alex carefully planned the best route for us so we could do everything we wanted in a short time, and we truly felt we were in excellent hands from start to finish. If you’re visiting Addis Ababa, we highly recommend touring with Alex. He’s a wonderful guide who goes above and beyond!

Excellent Half-Day Tour with Alex – Knowledgeable, Flexible & Fun! - We had an incredible half-day tour of Addis Ababa with Alex as our guide, and we couldn’t recommend him more highly! From the start, he was thoughtful and flexible, helping us plan a meaningful experience within our tight schedule. Since the most of the shops were closed in the famous Merkato because it was on Sunday, Alex quickly came up with a great alternative and took us to a vibrant local market instead. He not only guided us through the stalls but also helped us negotiate fair prices for the souvenirs and items we were interested in – a huge help that made the experience smooth and enjoyable. He brought us to the National Museum, where we saw Lucy, one of the world’s most important fossil discoveries. Alex’s explanations and insights brought the exhibits to life, and he patiently answered all of our many questions with enthusiasm and depth. We also visited Beata Church, a beautiful and serene spot that offered a different view of Ethiopian culture and spirituality. Alex made sure everything we wanted to do was accounted for, carefully planning the best route to make the most of our limited time. His passion for his city, deep knowledge, and warm personality made our short stay in Addis truly memorable. If you’re visiting and want an engaging and thoughtful guide who will personalize your tour and go the extra mile, ask for Alex!

Great for layover tour - Had a great time on a quick layover in Ethiopia. 100% recommend if you have a long enough layover in Addis (>5hrs). We were picked up from the airport and delivered back in time for our second flight. Able to see the main sights like the market and the national museum and have a fantastic traditional lunch. Alex was great. Very personable and knowledgeable.
