A memorable tour! - We had Gashaw as our guide who was very knowledgeable. We had only four hours for our tour and Gashaw made the most of it very efficiently. We went to the museum, coffee house, markets, had a delicious lunch at Yod Abyssinia and even shopping at some local art and craft shops. Thank you for making our tour memorable.

Very nice - The tour of Addis Ababa has been surprising in many ways. All positive thanks. Gashaw our guide, who took pains so be it. His knowledge of many aspects, his patience in listening and his very focused contribution in responding were very good. In addition we were surprised to find a modern city in many ways.

Perfect day! - This was the perfect combo of seeing a few key sites in the city, as well as leaving the city to see the gorgeous land and farmscapes en route to the crater lakes. Gashaw was super knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history without ever being boring! He was very flexible and accommodating and changed up the lunch option to a more local experience. I booked the night before and was a great day overall!

We saw and did a LOT, without being run ragged. Highly recommended tour! - What a fabulous three days we spent in Ethiopia. We decided to stretch our 4 hour layover into three days, as we had never been to Ethiopia and we had the extra time. Definitely worth it, and we were so pleased with the personalized tour offered by Aspire Ethiopia Tours that we plan to go back next year and explore more of the country. Our guide Gashaw was very amicable and knowledgeable. We liked that he gave us options for different experiences based on our conversations, tailoring the our short time there to activities we preferred. We would definitely recommend this tour and Gashaw!

A perfect ending to a perfect trip! - We did a long trip in Kenya and Madagascar and decided to end with a 5 day visit to Ethiopia. My wife found Aspire Ethiopia Tours on line and we booked a trip for our entire stay. Gashaw, our driver/guide was amazing. His knowledge of the flora, fauna, history, culture as well as English was excellent. We toured Addis Ababa including a club near our hotel with folk music and dances as well as amazing food. We did an overnight trip up the Rift Valley and stayed at a hotel on a lake which included Weaver birds building nests outside our room. We ended our trip at the African Jazz Village for some jazz and then were taken to the airport for our 12:45 AM departure. As I told Gashaw, I don’t know the trip could have been better! I highly recommend Aspire. We plan on returning to visit more cultural sites Gashaw told us about and will definitely use Aspire. It was a fantastic ending to an incredible trip.

Best Tour Company in Ethiopia - I was in Addis for 3 days and I had 3 separate tours, so believe me when I say that Aspire Ethiopia has the best guiding service. I booked a tour to the Crater Lakes in Bishoftu that included a city tour before hand. My guide now friend Gashaw was so knowledgeable in the history of the city. He was very amiable and easy going. I had the best time and would 💯 recommend this tour company.

Great day on the lake! - This is my second time taking a tour from Gashaw because I had such a good time the first time. We had a great time this time around too! The Addis Ababa tour featured museum visits to see Lucy, the first human, and learning about Ethiopian history, and the day ended with a really fun tradition dance show. The visit to the crater lakes in Bishoftu was peaceful and pleasant. We took a short boat ride in Lake Babugaya, that was beautiful and enjoyable. Thank you so much again for an amazing experience, Gashaw!

Fabulous Tour of Three Lakes Outside of Addis Ababa - This tour of three lakes—Debreziet, Hora and Bishoftu—was our second tour with Gashaw. I cannot say enough about how knowledgeable he is about Ethiopian history and culture, how fluent his English is and how thoughtful he is about taking memorable photos and being attuned to our pace. At our first stop at Lake Debreziet, we had traditional coffee and Gashaw was meticulous about taking us to all the best vantage points of the lake and explaining the origins of the crater lakes. At Lake Hora, we learned that the lake was used by the Oromo for spiritually cleansing rituals. Gashaw was very patient when one of us wanted to listen to the chanting at a nearby church. The last lake resort at Bishoftu had beautiful grounds that had a traditional feel. Gashaw’s plans included a terrific kayaking experience and a buffet lunch which was well worth the additional cost. We highly recommend this tour and have experienced Gashaw as an exemplary and delightful guide.
