Sanetti Plateau - Take a morning flight to Goba (Bale NP). Upon arrival, enjoy an excursion to the Sanetti Plateau to explore the afro-alpine moorland and spot the endemic Ethiopian wolf. Due to the high altitude, plant diversity is limited, but the giant lobelia, which grows between 3,100 and 4,377 meters and can reach up to 12 meters in height, is noteworthy. Tulu Dimtu, standing at 4,377 meters, is located on the plateau and is the second tallest mountain in Ethiopia, as well as the tallest in Bale.
Dinisho - Goba
Bale Mountains National Park - After breakfast, drive to Dinisho, the headquarters of Bale National Park, for a leisurely hike. You may encounter two endemic mammals, Menelik’s Bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala. Bird species in the area include the Blue-Winged Goose, Spot-Breasted Lapwing, Abyssinian Long Claw, Wattled Ibis, Black-Headed Siskin, Rouget’s Rail, and many others. Afterwards, return to Goba.
Goba – Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa - Today, fly back to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, explore the city by visiting the National Museum, home to the famous hominid fossil “Lucy,” Entoto Mountain, the expansive open-air market Merkato, and one of the major Orthodox Churches. Experience a vibrant blend of modern and traditional city life. Enjoy a farewell dinner at one of Addis Ababa’s finest traditional restaurants, where you can savor a variety of Ethiopian dishes and watch folkloric dancers perform.
