The Best Tour Operators - We arrived at Addis Ababa after spending some time in other African countries. My wife became injured and could barely walk. Being in Addis, we decided that it would be a waste if we didn't at least take a tour so we inquired at the front desk of our hotel. In the lobby we noticed a display for East Africa Tour Company. We decided to try them. I was given Beki's phone number and he immediately responded. Seeing our situation, he immediately adjusted the tour and away we went. He had his driver Destaw with him in a beautiful van and took care of my wife with great kindness and heart. We couldn't have found a more knowledgeable, community connected, and understanding people taking us on an adventure. We visited the top of the mountain in Addis where we visited an older lady who made injera bread from her home. It was so authentic, going into community! We loved it! Then we visited key points in Addis where its history came so alive through the guidance of Beki. Finally we visited the market where I was able to purchase some spice. If you book your tour with East Africa you will have a rich, well planned, well taken care of tour by caring guides. Beki, you are the best!

A full day in Addis - Fantastic! This was really the best way of getting to know Addis! I've been here once before, but never had the chance to get around much then. Now I enjoyed a full day together with my best friend in the safe hands of guide Beki and driver Yesiah. Beki was from the beginning already when we booked the tour very keen on meeting our wishes and very flexible during the whole experience. We started at St George church to learn about the exciting history of Ehtiopia, stopped by a huge and friendly pottery workshop (make room in your suitcase!), continued to huzzling Merkato market (watch out for pickpockets!) and also had the time to do some very nice shopping at a clothes market before we ended up with delicious italian coffe at the old Grand Central. Once again: thanks a million to Beki with driver. You really did our great day in Addis!

Excellent experience with Beki - I had 7–8 hours in Addis, and Beki gave me an incredible tour of the city. I highly recommend his services—he was excellent at explaining Ethiopian culture and offering a glimpse into daily life here. I hope to return with more time to explore the rest of the country, and I would definitely rely on Beki to organize the trip.

Addis tour - Beki & Abitey arrived on time at 9am to collect us for our day out with them. The bus was very clean and comfortable. They were both very friendly and welcoming. They talked us through the plan for the day. It was on Thursday 22nd August and it was a very rainy day. They adjusted the plan to keep us out of the rain as much as possible. We started at the Museum of Ethiopia, Beki was incredibly knowledgeable and showed and talked me through so much important history. I loved how passionate and proud he was of his country and history. We then went to Tomoca Coffee shop and tried some Ethiopian coffee which was very good. While explaining all the interesting history of this coffee also. We then drove up the mount Entoto to a local ladies home. We were made very welcome and offered food and the warmth of a log fire. We were then taken outside to the place they make Injera and shown how to make it and taste. We were also given the chance to make one ourselves. We then went back inside and ate more Injera with a bean sauce as we do not eat meat and had a shot of a Russian alcoholic drink. This was very chest warming and nice. On the way back we were going to look down andctake photos if Addis from the Entoto view point but as it was raining there was no viably and had to abandon this. After this we went to the Merkato Market, again Beki was very knowledgeable showing me around all the different parts and explaining different things about what people were selling. Our final destination was St Georges Cathedral where Beki showed us the small museum outside and then we went into the Cathedral where again he passed on all if his knowledge in a passionate, proud way that kept me engaged all the way to the end. I would highly recommend Beki & Abitey to take you on a tour. If I come again I would definitely use them again to see other sites. My 15 year old daughter wasn't as interested as I was but they were very understanding of this and at times she just waited with Abitey in the van which I was very grateful for.

Best tour ever of the city of Addis Ababa - Beki gave me a city tour of Ethiopia in 2019. It was a great tour of the city. Beki took photos of the experience so that I could be in them. He knew how to avoid the lines and concentrated on the sights that I was most interested in. It was an excellent tailor made excersion in the city and the overlook.

Great local experience with knowledgeable tour guide - Spent the day touring Addis with Beki. Great option if you have limited time in Addis and want to make the most of your day. Beki was easy to deal with and booking was smooth. We were impressed with Bekis, knowledge and passion. The tour had everything you needed to experience the local culture. We even made injera with a lovely local woman. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for options in Addis and surrounding area. Beki has many tour and experience options available. Will book with again when back in town.

A perfect way to get a glimpse of Addis Abeba and Ethiopian history and culture guided by a engaged guide - I had one day to spend in Addis and made a late booking with Beki who picked me up at my hotel in his brand new Toyota minibus together with his driver Eshetu. This was the start of a very interesting, but also exhausting day in Addis Abeba with its chaotic traffic. Beki is a very passionate guide with great knowledge of Ethiopian history and culture. The comprehensive information on Ethiopian history is heavy to digest but Beki managed to distribute it in a winningly way during the day. He also know the perfect spots for photos and supported me with his own pictures of me which was later sent to me by WA. The highlights for me during the day were Mount Entoto and Mercato Market. Entoto provides tranquilly while Mercato provides the opposite. Beki took me on a one hour walking tour into Mercato showing me different parts of the market from spices to scrap metal. We also had time for a traditional Ethiopian coffee served by local women sitting on a box in the middle of the maze alongside the local vendors, very authentic. I highly recommend Beki and his company if you are going to Addis. Apart from his expertise on Ethiopian culture and history presented in perfect English he is also very flexible if you have special requests. Also the secure driver Eshetu did a good job navigating around in the chaotic traffic without a scratch on the new van. Thanks guys
