My journey began with a visit to the National Museum, home to the famous fossil, Lucy. Standing before this ancient relic, I felt a profound connection to the history of humanity. The next leg of my journey took me to Bahir Dar, a scenic city on the shores of Lake Tana. Here, I embarked on a boat trip to explore the island monasteries, each adorned with beautifully painted murals that told stories of Ethiopia’s rich religious history.
