This magnificent 40-minute helicopter tour over the reef is a truly breathtaking experience. By adding an extra 10 minutes to the standard 30-minute flight, you’ll have the opportunity to see all the highlights of our regular tour, while extending the journey eastwards. This takes us past Green Island and to the outer boundaries of Arlington Reef – a notable large reef in the north part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Our path takes us right to the fringes of the reef as we approach the edge of the Australian continental shelf, where the water is crystal clear, and the seabed plunges to depths exceeding 1,000 feet. With this extra leg of the journey, we are able to venture further north, beyond the sandy shores of Vlasoff Cay and into the distant reaches of the Reef. Here, you can truly absorb the vibrant hues and intricate patterns of the reef and the stunning azure waters. The expansive skies of North Queensland form an unforgettable backdrop, perfect for capturing exceptional photos. Throughout the journey, our local pilot/guides supply commentary and share their knowledge about the reef and its rich marine life.
