Ok but disappointing - Nice experience but be prepared for a bumpy ride! I did find it quite uncomfortable and had quite a sore butt afterwards!! ( which no one mentions!). Most of 'dessert' was alongside a road, mostly a dusty path. Managed to just catch sunset,no flamingos to be seen on trip which we were told there would be. Had dinner included which was a nice experience. Also to note guy who lead camels asked me for more money when I gave him a tip which I thought was quite cheeky!

Not recommended - The camels looked miserable and were so tightly tethered. The ride went through what one could only describe as a landfill. The barbeque was not what was expected.

No camels and no sunrise. - I booked this to experience the sunrise. Firstly, the animals were not camels. They were dromedary. Secondly, we were not in the desert. The paths were cluttered with broken glass, which made us wonder if the dromedary would be affected. We also crossed busy main roads. Thirdly, the trip was booked for midday. I wondered if we were going to spend lots of time in the (non) desert to see the sunset, which was approx 19.26. Nope. Fourth, the driver was unaware that my group had dinner attached (the groups had different packages), with the driver having a furious conversation before telling us we would be taken to a local eatery. Overall, it was not that great. The title of the package is misleading.

Decent Enough Trip - Camel Ride seemed to last for a good couple of hours with a ten minute break in the middle. Definitely an experience that won’t be forgotten. By the end I was ready to get off as my legs and back were aching… which should be expected. Regarding the food. The meat we got we believed to be goat which wasn’t something I’d want to eat again. However saying that, everything was prepared properly.

Those poor animals. So upsetting to see them in such obvious distress. - The people are absolutely lovely and so is the food. However, the way they keep the camels is extremely distressing. Assuming these are the ones kept for breeding tied down to a stake with both of their front feet tied together as well. One poor camel was clearly showing signs of stereotypical behaviours and trauma with is front leg bent unable to move or walk away and head swaying. Asked why they bind their front feet together apparently because they fight I'm not surprised. Most also had muzzles on. Really unsuitable conditions for them to be kept in, especially the small pony in a tiny enclosure. Very, very sad. Severely distressing and so upsetting to watch. Lots of little birds kept in small avaries at the BBQ. A few stray dogs in the dessert but at least the nice people there actually do feed them. The dog by the way, despite being chained down seemed to be quite happy and is well fed.

Not what we expected - Not as advertised!! Not sure if there’s more than one of these trips as ours wasn’t the best. Booked through the love holiday rep. Sold as a sunset camel trek & barbecue, however the trek was down an awful dirt track with trucks coming past us. Was on the camel for over an hour and had a sore bottom by the end 😆 Dinner was nice but not a barbecue and also no sunset as back at the hotel by 8pm Also not overly thrilled with how the camels are living - all tied up with very short rope so they can’t really move!
