Fantastic experience - From start to finish the package delivered everything we hoped for. Picked up at hotel exactly on time and taken to a local market to get vegetables for cooking. This was a very authentic market, not a tourist area. All the produce was good quality and clean. After selecting the veg for cooking we were given a small tour round the market and local Hammam before back in the taxi and off to the Artisan Centre for the cooking prep. Hand-wash given as soon as we arrived and shown to prep area to cut up veg and construct our tagine. We were asked what meat we would like to use and went for chicken. We were taken through step by step on cutting, prepping and adding spices. Once we a had concluded the build for the tagine it was hand wash time again before going on the camel ride whilst the tagine cooked. The camel ride was as expected and had read about on previous reviews but all thoroughly enjoyable. On return, with a bit of a numb posterior the tagine was ready for us to eat. Even my level of cooking turned out a decent meal. Our guide Imrahm was superb throughout and on return journey to our hotel, he took time out to take us to the Mosque for some photos and to the Argon centre to find out more about the oils and uses.
Cannot comment highly enough on all the people involved in delivering this fine package.

Awesome experience - Couldn't ask for a better excursion. From the walk through the market purchasing some of the ingredients used in the cooking class to the excellent time preparing the Tanger. As it cooked I went for my camel ride. Enjoying my meal and the tea. Shopping and the tour after. everything was flawless. Thank you for showing me Adgir.

We got to spend the day... - We got to spend the day with Imrane and his family. First we got to go to the market to pick up meat and vegetables for out cooking class. It is an ideal occasion to do some shopping of your own in a non-touristy market. I got to buy some fruit and spices. Then we go into the kitchen of their family restaurant and cook with Selma and her mother. We make lamb and vegetables tajine. Then we learned how to make msemmen which is the crepe-like desert. Delicious with some honey. To be honest, you can skip the camel ride. The scenery is not beautiful. I recommend this trip if you love cooking and want to learn from some lovely locals.

Brilliant family experience - Really kind family business created such a great experience for us. We explored the local market tasting different cuisine. The cooking class was a fun experience learning different techniques and traditions. And the camels were very cute. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel very welcome, they also took some great photos for us!

Fantastic cooking experience! - This was an incredible day out and really good value. We were looked after by the whole family. Son Imrana picked us up at the cruise port, and daughter Selma was our chef tutor for the day. Mum and dad were also in attendance, and made us feel very welcome. We went to the market to purchase all the ingredients for a lamb tagine and then prepared it with Selma’s entertaining instruction. This was a great experience as it was done in the restaurant kitchen and we could see how spotless and hygienic the facilities were. Whilst the tagine was cooking, we had our lovely camel ride. Then we came back and had the delicious tagine. The attention to detail was amazing and the whole family made us feel so welcome. This is a MUST DO tour if you are visiting Agadir. And for us, it was a great way of spending the day when on a cruise.

Great Cooking experience run by a lovely family, along with extra bonuses! - This was a great taste of the real Morocco! We felt very well looked after as we visited the market to do some ingredients shopping, returned to the Souk Berbere Artisanal to prepare our dishes in the family run restaurant, and then spent some time camel riding before digging into the delicious tagine we made ourselves.
The family were incredibly sweet and filled with warmth as we spent time in their kitchen and restaurant.
The Souk Berbere Artisanal is also a must visit alongside the Souk Al Had, with lots of handmade items at good prices.
If you are into cooking, then this is a must do! Combine cooking with meeting some lovely people, riding camels, and some shopping; all in one package!

Great day cooking, eating, and riding camels in Agadir - We loved our cooking class. Fatima and her son Emran were delightful and friendly. We shopped with Emran at the local market, purchasing all the veggies and fruits. We then went to Fatima’s family restaurant and prepared a delicious tagine chicken meal. We also prepared a bread served with honey that was delicious. While the tagine was on the stove, we rode our camels; then back to the restaurant where Emran had set 2 place settings for us and served our meals with mint green tea and coffee. They gave us a bag of blended spices to use at home and Emran wrapped our heads with scarves, Bedouin style, and let us keep the scarves too.
This is a great experience but keep in mind you will get a taste of real life for these hard working people in Agadir. The market is rustic and the camel ride is along a street lined with vacant lots, not a romanticized desert camel walk. The camels appeared clean and well cared for, and they behaved beautifully for us. Their handlers were very polite as well. Our camel ride was only 30 minutes (our request) because we had a delayed start to our tour and were concerned about getting back to our ship before it left the port. 30 minutes was long enough on the camels for us anyway; it is a bumpy ride!
Emran was very good with communicating with us by phone the day before and morning of our pickup from the port, but still, somehow, there was a mixup and our pickup was delayed an hour. Cell service was spotty once we left the ship and stood at the meeting point, so it wasn’t till we’d walked all the way back to the ship that we got Emran’s message that he had arrived to pick us up. So just be aware of the possibility of communication glitches and be ready to be adaptable.
Overall this is a fantastic experience and you will love Emran and Fatima. I can’t wait to cook a tagine meal at home. I’m removing one star because of the late pickup; if not for that, this is a five star day.

A successful trip. - It was a very nice experience.
Shopping on a souk, was very interesting. The preparation of the tajine was well explained. Fatima the cook was very warm. The camel ride was good, but unfortunately went through an unsightly landscape. The Tajine tasted very good. Everyone's been trying hard.
A nice trip.
