Our guide Panos was a mine of information. He was such a good guy that we went on 2 other tours with him. He is a remarkable guy. I recommend this tour company to you. Ask for Panos. Thanks.

You definitely have to take it with you! - This tour is definitely worth it! You can see wonderful nature, taste olive oil, feed semi-wild goats, stroll through small mountain villages and lend a hand yourself in a ceramic factory. Another highlight was the fantastic lunch in an authentic Cretan tavern with very dear owners. Our guide George was super nice and also knew very well. He took a lot of time with us and was just totally likeable. Thank you George! Those who have this trip on budget do everything right here and get to see a beautiful, less touristy part of Crete.

Head to the mountains on this tour that offers great variety. - Great scenery! Palos did a great job of educating us on the local customs, agriculture and animals. Good food for lunch in a great local setting. The cave was closed, but the pottery experience was fun.

We very much enjoyed our guided tour of the Plateau areas of Eastern Crete, with its varied activities and sights. Fascinating l - This was our second excursion from UK with Adventure Crete during our spring visit to Eastern Crete, and we had another very enjoyable day with our excellent guide Enrico and a couple from Belgium. Enrico was engaging from the start and moved between French and English with ease after asking us for our preferences. We visited the olive oil factory and learnt a lot from about Cretian herbs as well as olive growing. We were introduced to carob and even red pepper trees around the car park. Then it was up to Kritsa past acrobatic goats (see photo) to find an historic, but also working, village which our guide knew well, and we even had time to pass through the fascinating folklore museum (other photo). The plateau area is such a surprise, it is best not to send photos, but to say it feels a world away from the beach areas with a cooler and on our day, wetter climate. We had a lunch at a tavern on Lasithi plateau surrounded by old wind pumps used for irrigation. Then on to an amusing greek myth themed attraction and pottery workshop where you can try your hand making a vase on a wheel (these were optional with extra modest cost noting that Zeus cave which also has an entrance fee, is closed temporarily for renovations). We briefly stopped at a church with frescos earlier at Kritsa, a monastery grounds near Malia, and an ancient plane tree and aqueduct. All of these activities and sights were very much enhanced by our excellent guide.

Great day out! - A really wonderful trip to spend the whole day exploring Crete. The knowledge of our guide was second to none and always felt safe when driving across the more rugged terrain. The Zeus caves were closed at the time, which I wasn't aware of in advance, so worth checking if this is your main reason for booking. Otherwise, all the other activities were worth it.

A must when in Crete! - I’d give 10 stars if I could! Michael was a fabulous guide with a wealth of knowledge. This is an incredibly packed tour, so just be prepared for an all day excursion. The details and planning that went into this tour far exceeded my expectations. I loved every single part of it.

Ask for Petra! - Nice tour made with Petra as guide. She has a lot of knowledge about and passion for Crete and you can tell! We were together with a German couple, so everything was explained in Dutch and German, this was no problem for us and for her. Unfortunately the Zeus cave was closed due to the risk of collapse so unfortunately we were not able to visit it. A theme park about Greek mythology was the alternative and was also a lot of fun. The ride in the orange Land Rover was a very nice experience and Petra also a good driver. All in all had a nice day!
