• Taj Mahal, Agra - 06:30: Departure by car to the railway station. 08:10: Board the Gatimaan Express train from H. Nizamuddin Railway Station for a scenic 1 hour and 40-minute journey to Agra, beautifully located on the banks of the Yamuna River. Agra gained prominence as the Mughal Emperors’ capital from 1526 to 1628 and remains a major tourist attraction due to its magnificent Mughal-era monuments, especially the Taj Mahal. Tea and breakfast will be served on the train. 09:50: Arrival in Agra. Upon arrival, our representative/guide will pick you up from the railway station. 10:30 – 12:00: Visit the Taj Mahal, a poetic masterpiece in white marble and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Legend has it that Emperor Shah Jahan, devastated by the death of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, decided to build an unparalleled memorial in her honor. With a workforce of 20,000, it took 21 years to complete this masterpiece.

• Agra Fort - 12:00 – 13:30: Visit Agra Fort, designed and constructed by the great Mughal ruler Akbar around 1565 A.D. Initially a military establishment, it was later expanded by his successors into a magnificent palace. The Red Fort in Agra spans a three-kilometer radius and is enclosed by a 70-foot high wall. Two red sandstone walls surround the fort, which has four gates. Although many buildings once stood within the fort, only a few remain today. The most notable of these is the Jahangiri Mahal, a multi-storied palace built by Akbar for his wife, Jodha Bai. Other significant structures include the Mausam Burj, the Diwan-i-Khas, and the Shaha Burj. 13:30 – 14:30: Lunch Break.

• Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah - 15:00 – 17:00: Amid Agra’s grandeur lies the architectural gem of Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb, predating even the Taj Mahal. Often referred to as “The Baby Taj,” it stands as a testament to Mughal craftsmanship. Explore its exquisite beauty and immerse yourself in history at this charming mausoleum along the Yamuna River. The evening is free for leisure or to explore Agra’s rich heritage of handicrafts. Agra boasts many local handicraft shops near major attractions like the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Visitors can choose from a variety of crafts, including marble souvenirs (a famous Agra product), traditional clothing, scarves, religious displays, and paintings. The most renowned marble handicrafts can be purchased here. 17:00: Transfer to the railway station to board the Superfast Gatimaan Express Train to Delhi. 19:30: Arrival in Delhi, where our chauffeur will pick you up from H. Nizamuddin.
