A Warm Welcome in Delhi

As soon as I landed in Delhi, I was greeted by the warm and friendly Mr. Mahendra, our driver for the Golden Triangle Tour. His impeccable English and professional demeanor immediately put me at ease. Traveling with kids can sometimes be a challenge, but Mr. Mahendra’s spotless SUV, stocked with cold water, soft drinks, snacks, and personal care items, was a lifesaver. Before leaving Agra, we were treated to a delicious lassi at Mr. Mahendra’s favorite shop, a refreshing treat that was much appreciated in the midday heat.

Our final destination was Jaipur, where we were welcomed by the vibrant colors and regal architecture of the Pink City. Manoj, our guide in Jaipur, was a wealth of information and his enthusiasm for his city was infectious. We explored the Amber Palace, where the kids were thrilled to ride an elephant up to the fort. The intricate carvings and stunning views from the palace left us all in awe.

The City Palace and Jantar Mantar were equally impressive, and the kids had fun trying to figure out the astronomical instruments. Our stay at Shahpura House was comfortable, and while the breakfast was not as lavish as some of the other hotels, the quirky charm of the place made up for it. As we concluded our tour and headed back to Delhi, I reflected on the incredible memories we had made as a family.
