Great tour, well worth it - This is a great tour. If you can afford it it's worth it. You get taken to two of the best archaeological sites in Italy which are both quite a distance from Palermo - it's probably the best way to see these sites if you're staying here. (do note that each site will cost you an extra 17 € per person).
You get picked up at 6:30 am & dropped back at 5:30pm which is good as you then have a full evening. Our tour leader Lorenzo & driver Giacomo were both friendly and genuinely helpful and really made the day go smoothly and provided an excellent service all day.
An hour into the trip you visit a roadside café which has fantastic pastries and sandwiches - another review called it a petrol station which is technically true but a little unfair as the fresh food on offer is much better than a typical UK petrol station shop.
Then it's two more hours to the Valley of Temples which is amazing. We had a guide there, Sergio, who took us on an easy two hour walk through the site. He was a fount of knowledge on everything from antiquity to biodiversity and his enthusiasm was really great.
Then it's an hour to the Roman villa, which has the most excellent well preserved mosaics over an extensive site. You self guide here (you can buy an audio guide but we didn't , there's plenty of info on signs all around) and can choose to spend some of the allotted two hours in the little souvenir shop/ street food area if you want.
Then it's three hours back - so go to the loo before you leave.
Would highly recommend if you're staying in Palermo and want to see these sites.

Very informative and pleasant day trip! - The transportation company was very warm and welcoming, and the leader, Martina was very attentive and engaging and spoke English very well! A young woman with a good soul and a good communicator who helped us understand the days activities and even sang with us on the way home😍
Our guide at the site, Sergio, was an excellent historian, shared many stories and clever joke jokes, and we even got to feed some goats🙂

Magic - Wonderful place full of history
The vastness of the temples reminds us that we are very small
Discover these temples, Era, Concord, Heracles and Zeus with a beautiful garden

Agrigento and Villa Romana del Casale Super Tour! - Everything about this tour was excellent! We had a great team leading us .
Lawrence, our tour organizer made sure we were all accounted for to begin and at any stop. James our driver was gracious to allow a couple photo shoots and to charge my phone for more photos!
Sergio was so passionate and knowledgeable as he presented the ruins at Agrigento, reinforced by photos in his note binder. There was a lot of walking but Sergio set a reasonable pace. The mosaics still in existence at Villa Roman’s were awesome, as well as the ruins still standing in Agrigento! Definitely include this tour if possible!
Thanks for the extra finale to stop for delicious Cannoli!! What a team effort!!🌹

Great tour - This was a great tour. Really interesting. The schedule seemed to be reversed from some previous reviews, starting with a food stop, then the temples, then the Roman Villa. This worked well. Lorenzo, the tour leader, was very clear and did a wonderful job of keeping track of everyone, which wasn't easy. Giovana, the guide at the temples, was excellent and very knowledgeable. The tour is not for the faint of heart, though, long bus rides and lots of walking. But we found it totally worth it.

A long day but well worth it - We really enjoyed this trip. It is a long day, with 5-6 hours of the trip spent driving on the bus, but that does give an opportunity to see some of the beautiful Sicilian scenery. The Roman villa is incredible- we have never seen anything like it. I would recommend paying 7 euros for the audioguide and although it is an early start leaving Palermo, you arrive at the Villa before the crowds. The Valley of the Temples was also amazing and we had a good guide there. The tour operator does say this, but you still need to pay the entry fees for both sites. Our companion on the tour Lorenzo was very friendly and welcoming.

Ancient culture combined with Sicily's beautiful countryside in full bloom! - This one day trip was very interesting from a historical point if view but also from a botanical point of view - at least for us taking the trip in late april.
While crossing the island we caught a lot of views of the very beautiful green and hilly landscape in april. Mimosa, ginst and fennel were blooming beautifully everywhere and in along the small roads beautiful wild flowers in all colours were growing "en masse".
The guide at the Valley of the temples was very enthusiastic and new a lot. He also used a lot of pictures while guiding us around which made everything much clearer. The one thing I did not like was that the tour was said to be in english but during our tour the guide gave the same message in both english, italian and spanish which made it hard to follow since he understandably had to speak very fast.
At the Villa Romana there was no guide. Instead we all walked around on our own which was good. So fantastic with all the mosaic!
