Whitehaven day trip - We booked to go to Whitehaven. There was some engine trouble and need for more fuel. Things happen and we ended up being 2 hours later to arrive than scheduled. What was really outstanding was the care and service provided by the staff. They were apologetic and going above and beyond to try and make the experience still enjoyable. And it was. We ended up staying later and as a result had the whole beach to ourselves and watched a beautiful sunset on the ride home. Massive day for the staff but brilliant day for us. Thank you to the staff.

Whales and whitehaven - What an incredible experience! The skipper Riley was in total control the whole time and expertly navigated the vessel near whales so we could enjoy watching them breach. Alisha was fantastic at guiding the walk and providing safety briefings. Rodrigo was a master of managing the vessel and setting up lunch on whitehaven. Incredibly grateful to the team. What a wonderful experience.

Great tour and plenty of relaxing beach time - We had a wonderful relaxing day at the Whitehaven beach yesterday. The staff, especially Facu and Leo where very friendly and accommodating when we asked for a tent as the sun is rather strong during a long day at the beach. There are picknick possibilities in the shade at the beach which are also quite nice but we didn’t know that beforehand. We recommend the day tour with GSL not only because of the staff but it gives you about 4 plus hours at the beach. Enough time to wander to the southern outlook with a great view but also plenty of time to swim and relax at the beach.

Nice tour with restrictions - The tour itself was good, lucky with the weather. The crew was also very good👍🏼
The pity was that there were no cold drinks. A no go in this heat! Food was also rather modest.

Unprofessional - Tour did not take place. The organizer did not think it necessary to inform them in advance! After 45 minutes of waiting in vain at the designated meeting point, a staff member of the cafe informed us of the cancellation and let us scan a phone number to contact the tour operator.

Not what we expected - We were aware in advance that this tour did not have particularly good reviews, but we still wanted to give it a chance. Unfortunately, the negative feedback turned out to be justified.
The tour advertises 4 hours at Whitehaven Beach, including stand-up paddleboarding and optional snorkeling or the Hill Ilnet lookout (for an additional $29 per person).
We only booked the Lookout.
Even with snorkeling booked, guests are supposed to have around 2 hours of beach time. In reality, we spent only about 30 minutes on the beach in total.
Whitehaven Beach itself was not visited at all — instead, we stayed in Tongue Bay (Lookout Beach) with a view of Whitehaven.
The advertised Southern Lookout was also not visited.
Due to multiple tender boat transfers (twice there and twice back) and waiting times of around 25 minutes each way, a significant amount of time was lost. Guests who had booked snorkeling had virtually no beach time left.
Out of four stand-up paddle boards, only one was brought to the beach — and guests had to carry it themselves along a 15-minute path.
Lunch, which according to the description was supposed to be served on the beach, was instead served on the boat. The food was good, but the drinks could have been cheaper $7 for a can of Coke.
The crew seemed friendly and tried their best, but they appeared poorly coordinated.
Overall, everything felt chaotic and improvised. One crew member was constantly instructing the others, which gave the impression that some of them were very new.
The changed schedule was explained as “a problem with the tide times” but for us, this was not a convincing explanation.
Additionally, there were engine problems on the way back, which caused a delay.
However, even without the engine issues, we would have returned about one hour later than scheduled.
Conclusion: In our opinion, the crew is the least to blame — the main issue lies with the misleading advertising by the operator. We would not recommend this tour and suggest investing a bit more money in a better-organized provider.
The goal of any tour operator should be to leave guests with positive memories, not disappointment — starting with delivering what was promised and paid for.
It was emphasized that this is a family-run business, which makes the experience even more disappointing. It is no surprise that the boat was only half full, as negative reviews and dissatisfied guests will likely continue if nothing changes.

Absolute wasters - Do not book with this Company. They mislead you with departure time, are slow to respond to calls and have zero customer service ethos

If it’s windy - DO NOT GO - This was a terrible experience. The weather ruined it. Winds were 35km + and the waves in the stretch towards Whitehaven Beach were horrific. People were vomiting and very scared. I will NEVER do this again. The staff were unhelpful and didn’t care or warn us
