Great food tour! - This tour was very informative and enjoyable! It was a great time with Renaud, walking around and learning about the history of the city while enjoying some great food. We made 4 stops, varying in length and amount of food. All were enjoyable and there was very pleasant conversation throughout. Would definitely recommend this tour with Renaud!

Food and fun in Aix en Provence - We had a lovely tour with Inga through Aix. She showed us several markets and lovely shops we might not have found on our own. The food tour was educational and a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Inga was informational, fun, and knowledgeable, answering our many questions and adding a few fun anecdotes along the way. The croque monsieur on the third stop was our favorite of the tour, a must-have in a restaurant any tourist would be hard-pressed to find.

Excellent tour by our guide Anouk, her knowledge is extensive and is a local. - Being a local, Anouk was able to share her extensive knowledge of Aix in Provence’s culture, environs, and of course, local food. The tour is a must do if you are lucky to have Anouk as your guide. Her english is excellent, which was comforting to us. She possesses all the attributes of a local guide you need. The tour covers many areas of the town so it is not really just a food tour but the full experience. Thank you Anouk.

Just OK - The food stops were interesting but our guide unfortunately did not meet our expectations. It was difficult to hear what was being said while walking and our group only numbered five. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the gent leading our tour. Our stops included a small tasting of various truffle spreads, a stop to select a pastry for dessert, a charcuterie stop and then dinner stop (salad and truffle croque monsieur or goat cheese toast and salad, both served with a glass of wine.

Flimsy ignorant guide and snacks we as tourists have been invited to before. - We have booked many food activities over the years, this is absolutely the worst! Flexible guide who led us to truffle place where you were shown picture of truffle hunting in the owner's phone and then expected to shop in the shop, tourist trap says we who have been on truffle hunting the same trip. The next stop was a purchase of optional pastry at a pastry shop where the guide maligned the adjacent pastry shop. The pastry we needed to carry home with us because they closed. The next stop seemed unbooked, finally chairs were found on the street and we were served a few pieces of ham with salad. Sludgy street with festivities going on so we couldn't talk to each other. The last stop that was still the best, was a hot sandwich served on a French slice. Asked about the spread and the guide promised to get back to me about it but it was not done. The guide told us about other countries and her private life more than about the city, and she cheered people along the way and stopped and introduced them to us. Acted pretty much like a teenager... When questions about a fountain or statue, she had no facts, but answered for example that someone had said that to her sometime so we could pretend that it was true. The meeting place was far from the activity and we walked 20 minutes before the first party which was supposed to be truffles, and in between we also hiked a lot extra. The guide also expected tips at the end of the tour, and asked everyone to write positive reviews because then she gets a bonus from tripadvisor. Tip: 1. Replace the guide. 2. The starting point should be near the first place to eat, you come hungry. 3. Dining options chosen should not be the ones tourists pass by anyway on the main street. 4. The food selected should be some kind of local speciality and guests should be given some explanation of what it is and why you should choose that particular treat.
