• Venizelos Graves - Visit one of the most renowned spots offering breathtaking panoramic views of Chania, the Tombs of Venizelos. This site includes the graves of the famous Greek politician Eleftherios Venizelos and his son Sophocles Venizelos, along with the quaint church of Prophet Elijah. The surrounding area features a charming small park with unobstructed views of Chania. Eleftherios Venizelos, a pivotal figure in Greek history, was born in Turkish-occupied Crete in 1864 and passed away in Paris in 1936. His remains were brought here for burial, and in 1965, the tomb of his son Sophocles, who served as Greece’s Prime Minister from 1943 to 1952, was added.
• Stavros Beach - Stavros Beach is a stunning location situated 10 km from the monasteries on the northern tip of the Akrotiri Cape. Enjoy most of the time here, where the iconic film “Zorba the Greek” starring Hollywood star Anthony Quinn was shot. Take a dip in the deep, vibrant blue shallow waters or enjoy a meal!

This exclusive tour offers a 7-seater van accommodating up to 6 guests. The journey will explore the Akrotiri peninsula, beginning with visits to the historic monasteries of Agia Triada and Gouverneto. Guests will admire the stunning architecture and delve into the rich history of these sites. At Agia Triada, there is an optional wine tasting available for 20 euros per person, lasting less than an hour on weekdays, with payment made separately by travelers.

Following the monastery visits, guests can unwind for two hours by the pristine waters of the Aegean Sea at the picturesque bay of Stavros. On the return trip, a stop at Venizelos graves offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Chania.

Additionally, there is an option to visit the renowned Chania old town, embark on a 1-2 hour hike to Arkoudiotisa cave, or explore Katholiko, an ancient monastic community.

• You must be able to get in and get out of the car. For the visit to Agia Triada Monastery there is a decently long staircase that you need to climb to get inside the building. If you have serious issues with mobility the visit is not recommended. For the alternative tour visit to the Monastery of Katholiko is not recommended for people that have mobility issues. The path is made of stones and at some parts it is rough.
• The opening times for Agia Triada and Gouverneto Monasteries: • For Agia Triada is every day from 8:30am until 18:30pm • For Gouverneto is Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday from 9:00-12:00pm in the morning and 16:00-18:00 in the afternoon. On Sunday it is from 5:00-12:00pm in the morning and 16:00-18:00 in the afternoon. Wednesday and Friday is closed
