Best experience! The sunset tour on the Blue Lagoon, the first and most famous catamaran in santorini IS REALLY A MUST! - This was, without a doubt, one of the best experiences of my life! 🌊⛵ Thomas, Ianis, and Iorgos were an outstanding crew — professional, kind, and full of positive energy. If you book this tour, ask for them by name — they’re the reason the trip is so unforgettable. Honestly, they deserve a raise! Thomas even taught me how to steer the catamaran, and I ended up captaining for almost the entire journey — such a thrill! The food was fresh and delicious, and our swimming stops, especially by the volcano, felt like stepping into another world. And the sunset? From the boat, it’s even more magical than from the island itself. If you want an unforgettable adventure in Santorini — this is it.

Where the Sun Meets the Sea - Spectacular We took this tour with our friends and the day was AWESOME. Winds pushed the event back but we continued to move the date until the winds allowed us to get in the water. The captain and his team knocked it out the park and we can't recommend this high enough it's a MUST

Not worth experience - First of all, I’d like to say that the crew was fantastic — they did everything within their reach to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had a pleasant evening. That said, I don’t think this experience is worth the €160 (or €135 if you pay in cash). The tour is advertised as a deluxe sailing experience with a maximum of 18 guests. We were only 12 adults, plus a toddler and a baby, and the boat already felt crowded — I can’t imagine how cramped it would feel with 18 adults on board. If you’re staying in Oia, Imerovigli, or Fira, the shuttle will pick you up at or near your hotel. From there, it’s about an hour-long drive to the port, which is located at the opposite end of the island. Once you arrive, the crew greets you and walks you down to the boat — in our case, the Horizon, a Lagoon 450 catamaran. The day was quite windy, which may not have been ideal for sailing, but we departed the port at 3:00 PM. After a rough ride, we reached the Red Beach for a quick photo stop, followed by the White Beach — another brief stop for pictures. Due to the wind, it wasn’t really possible to swim at either location. We then continued sailing to Thirasia, where the boat anchored and a few people went for a swim. After that, we headed toward Nea Kameni to experience the hot springs. Unfortunately, the spot chosen didn’t allow for the best experience, as the water wasn’t actually very warm at that point. We swam again and then sailed back toward the port, passing by the Akrotiri lighthouse to watch the sunset on a very choppy sea. To be honest, I would recommend a different option: take the cable car (or the stairs) down to the old port and join a €45 sunset cruise. This cruise docks at Nea Kameni, where a guide leads a short trek to the volcano, allowing you to see the active vents and steam rising from the newest volcanic area. After the hike, you reboard a classic schooner — with about 50 people, but it still doesn’t feel overcrowded — and sail to a spot between Palaia and Nea Kameni for a proper swim in genuinely hot spring waters (and I mean hot). Then, the boat sails to Thirasia for a break where you can have coffee or grab a bite at local seaside taverns. Finally, you sail toward Oia to watch the sunset from a calm, steady position on the water with a glass of white wine, before heading back to the old port. To be fair, the food served on the deluxe catamaran cruise was excellent. But overall, the experience doesn’t justify the extra €90.
