Sea Turtle Snorkelling - July 2025 - The tour was well-organized. The swimming around Akumal Bay was beautiful, with sea turtles visible, and floating inside the cenote wad incredible. Huge shout out to Marina (tour guide), Tony (photographer), and Alejandro (driver) for making everything feel special.

Incredible adventure for all! - This tour was absolutely incredible, and beyond worth the money. Our guide, Luis, was an amazing person. He explained every step to us along the way and was so knowledgeable on both the turtles and the cenote. And yes, we saw turtles! The cenote is incredible. And if you're claustrophobic, not to worry! There was plenty of headroom for 99% of it, and the one tight spot went by so fast -- you can do it! It was just a really moving experience. Again, Luis made this trip -- even having everyone gather together to sing happy birthday to someone in our group. It was one of my most favorite adventures of all time. We also had kids in our group -- it's not super strenuous and really accessible to most everyone.

Crowded around the turtles but beautiful cenote - Our guide, Paula, was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I did feel they should be more upfront with certain info beforehand. For example, you are not allowed sunscreen in the water, so it would be good to be advised to bring a long sleeved top as otherwise they offer rash vests at 25 USD. We didn’t bother but with that and the photo package (85 USD for our family of 4) costs quickly mount up. We bought the photo package, the photos were good but not really sure was great value for what we got. The turtles, you are taken out into the bay on a boat and then swim back for around half an hour. This was challenging for some families with smaller children. We saw quite a few turtles, but every time you saw one, they were instantly surrounded by big groups. I don’t think the turtles were bothered, but a lot of people were ignoring instructions to keep their feet up and risking kicking the turtles and there was a bit of a scrum with swimmers getting in each other’s way. We loved the cenote part, it was magical, and again Paula was an excellent, knowledgeable guide. It was really fascinating to hear about these unusual geological features and the water was beautifully refreshing. The cenote we visited was a cave cenote, with stalactites and stalagmites and many bats nesting.
