Nice Tour - We had a good time learning things about the Akureyri area. The tour guide was new, but she handled things well. The bus driver was knowledgeable and passed that information onto us visitors. The bus was not comfortable. It was too warm at times and the seats were very close to each other so I felt like my knees were always pushing on the seat in front of me.

Beware of personal photos - “Ingi” (Ingimundur Robertsson) local tour guide/driver at waiting area in red jacket with tour company logo. He stayed until 9am to see if he could get more customers. Ingi knew the area very well since he had grown up in the area & talked passionately about the Lake Myvatn area. What my husband & I were highly offended by was his constant talking about how his college friend took pictures of his a** jumping over where the ground had split at the Grjotagja Cave & even went as far as showing pictures of himself naked jumping over & stating his friend wanted him to post it on Facebook. If you get Ingi as your guide, make sure you strongly state you are not interested in looking at his personal photos.
