A Warm Welcome in Akureyri

Our family has always been drawn to experiences that allow us to connect with the local culture and environment, and our recent trip to Akureyri, Iceland, was no exception. As a museum curator, I often seek out activities that are both educational and engaging for our children, and the Husky Petting experience promised just that.

A Cozy Conclusion

Returning to Gunni’s home, we were welcomed into a cozy environment where we could relax and enjoy the company of the huskies. Gunni shared stories about his family, the huskies, and the rich history of the area, making us feel like part of the family.

The experience transcended a typical tour; it felt like a gathering of friends. Our children played with the huskies, their laughter echoing through the house, while my wife and I enjoyed a warm cup of coffee, soaking in the serene atmosphere.
