Back from the future to the past. - Al Ain was on my bucket list as it has a significant role in UAE history, especially with its links to explorer Wilfred Thesiger, whose book, Arabian Sands, is a must read. The place did not disappoint. Al Jahili Fort is enthralling. The visit to the camel market was interesting, but not for the faint of heart, as camels are a beast of burden and supply to many, not pampered pets.. The trip up the mountain road was superb. It is considered one of the best mountain road drives in the world, some say the best. Our guide and driver Aslam was great and he sure knew how to negotiate the mountains. I like the desert and its history. It provides a glimpse into a past that has been swallowed up mercilessly by Abu Dhabi and even more by over the top Dubai. Get out of the mall and explore. Marks out of 10. Ten

A more authentic view of the UAE - Our guide, Aslam, was very knowledgeable and provided an overall great experience. I would highly recommend this trip for those looking to get away from the shiny new city and out into a more authentic and historic experience of the UAE.

Amazing Tour - Absolutely amazing tour and covered all the places very patiently. The knowledge of the guide Mr Lateef was also very good and he was very calm while explaining everything he did not ask us to rush for anything. Very pleasant ride from Abu Dhabi to Al Ain and back super good food even though we are vegetarian. Thank you Mr Lateef for amazing hospitality.

A memorable experience - I have been on Al Ain Oasis Tour and I liked very much the service provided by Emirates Tours & Safari for its professionalism and comfort. I particularly appreciated the excellent communication with the staff, the accurate information and the prompt responses to some questions. All the activities were very well organized. The guide, Sudath was a knowledgeable and kind person. I appreciated all information he provided with great professionalism and with an obvious pleasure. He explained a lot about the local culture and traditions, in particular about those related to the city of Al Ain. He also was a skilled and calm driver making me feel completely safe during a long way including also the curves on the mountain Jebel Hafeet. He brought a lot of energy and made a pleasant, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed everything I visited, but especially the real authentic world in Al Ain, the fort AL Jahili, the oasis, the camel market, the peak of Jebel Hafeet. I hope I can return to Abu Dhabi soon to do more tours with Emirates Tours & Safari, which I highly recommend. Gabriela, Romania

A Quiet Tour That Missed the Mark - I booked this as a group tour but ended up being the only guest, which I initially saw as a bonus. My guide was prompt and on time, and I was excited for what I thought would be a more personalized experience. Our first stop was the camel races, which was interesting, but we were only out of the car for about two minutes to watch the camels walk by before getting back in. At the fort, my guide offered very minimal information. I was able to walk around and read the plaques on my own, which took about 20 minutes. The oasis stop was similar and much more brief: I was taken to a short film and then down a small path to see a few trees before returning to the car. There was no opportunity to explore or understand the cultural significance of the site. I later looked it up on my phone to get any meaningful context. Lunch was a buffet where I was brought a bottle of water and then left completely alone. No one explained the process, and the communication overall was lacking. The food was fine, but the experience felt disorganized. The camel market was another very brief stop, and while Jabel Hafeet was beautiful, I again had to look up the importance of the site on my own because very little information was provided. Throughout the day, the car rides were mostly silent unless I initiated conversation, and the explanations given were minimal at best. I’m not sure if it felt awkward for the guide to have only one guest or if I’m used to more engaging group tours, but overall, the experience was disappointing. I left without a better understanding of the area or culture, and unfortunately, I do not feel the tour was worth the $300 USD price or a full day lost exploring other areas/attractions.
