Luxor West Bank Tour and Navigation
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast, embark on an extraordinary day by heading to the West Bank to explore the Theban Necropolis, visiting the Valley of the Kings, where New Kingdom pharaohs carved their tombs into the mountains to conceal their treasures and protect their mummies.
Temple of Hatshepsut - Proceed to the Mortuary Temple of the renowned Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. Conclude your West Bank tour with a photo stop at the colossal statues of Memnon – two 17-meter-high statues on Luxor’s west bank. Carved from granite blocks, they represent Pharaoh Amenhotep III and were once part of a grand colonnade. Return to the cruise by noon for lunch. Begin sailing down the River Nile, enjoy afternoon tea on the sundeck, cross Esna Lock, and overnight in Edfu.
Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple-Aswan
Temple of Horus - After breakfast, enjoy a horse carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered the most complete and best-preserved of all Egyptian temples. Return to the cruise. Relax on the deck, taking in the unique landscape and admiring the Nile River scenery while sailing to Kom Ombo. Lunch on board, followed by afternoon tea on the sundeck.
Temple of Kom Ombo - Late in the afternoon, stop at Kom Ombo city to visit the unique double temple of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Return to the cruise for dinner, followed by a folkloric party hosted by the cruise staff and tour guides. Continue sailing to Aswan for an overnight stay.
Abu Simbel Trip (Sharing a Small Group), Aswan Tour, and Departure Transfer
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Check out around 4:30 AM, as your guide will pick you up for an Abu Simbel trip (sharing a small group) to visit one of Egypt’s most impressive sites: the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, uniquely designed for King Ramesses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. Return to the cruise around 1:30 PM to collect your luggage and begin the tour to Philae Temple.
