Authentic Cairo food experience - We loved this experience and highly recommend it. Nada was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. You can tell that she is well known in the community which helped us access areas that tourists don’t know normally venture into. All the food choices were unique and delicious and we were positively stuffed towards the end (pace yourself!). If you are looking for a truly =authentic= experience this is it. Our only advice: do it early in your Cairo visit so you can benefit from the knowledge of the food and drink variety Egypt has to offer. Dirk, Vuyo and Karla

Worth it... Had a faboulous time. - We did the Cairo Nights Food Tour late in December and our guide for the evening was Loay. It was a fabulous evening of local delicacies. Probably the best dining experience of our trip. Over two plus hours we stopped at five or 6 different spots eating and drinking our way through old Cairo. Loay was knowledgeable and an all around great guide/person. Everyone we met, everywhere, were friendly and quick with a smile. Just go with the flow and enjoy.

Off the tourist beaten path - I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the last afternoon of 2025! This Cairo Nights Food Tour was an absolute masterclass in Egyptian hospitality and local flavor. Huge thanks to our guide, Joay! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly with our small group, my wife and myself, and made us feel like we were exploring the city with a local friend rather than just a tour group. We wandered through the stunning backstreets of El-Darb El-Ahmar and El Gamaliya. Starting near the Al-Azhar Mosque provided such an atmospheric and historic backdrop for the evening. As a tourist you would probably not take those paths we did. They aren't kidding about the 10+ tastings. From the smoky charcoal-grilled meats to the authentic local desserts, every stop offered something unique and delicious.

A night of food, history, and culture! Not to be missed! - I was running very behind due to traffic and Nada was incredibly patient. A must book, it’s a beautiful way to have many tastings of Egyptian food, learn history, and you can even do some shopping! Make sure to come hungry!

Perfect for start of your trip - I had an incredible time and am so happy that the tour operator kept this tour even though I was the only one. My tour guide, Loay, was very professional and detailed in explaining what was in every dish, how it was cooked, and if needed, the why of the dish. This tour takes you off the tourist path where the local eat. There's a wide array of foods and sweets to try. Definitely a must do!

Fun trip through the locals' neighborhood - Food was good and we went to places I would never have tried on our own. We were definitely in a locals' neighborhood. I really appreciated that. Our guide, however, was completely unengaged. He got our food and then was either on his phone or talking with the people providing the food. There were just two of us and we finished way early. Partly because our guide walked so quickly that we had to run to keep up.

Disappointing Experience for the Price - The experience was not very good and did not match the price we paid. The tour guide was very nice, but the food that was served was extremely limited, cheap, and not filling at all. They also combined my wife and me with two foreign guests, and the four of us had to share one single dish.
