- Giza Plateau - Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, a tour guide will be waiting outside the passenger area with a sign displaying your name. You will then be transported to Giza City in a private air-conditioned vehicle to begin your day tour of the Giza Pyramids. Here, you will visit the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Cheops is the largest pyramid ever constructed. You will also get a close-up view of The Sphinx, a grand funerary complex guarded by the legendary lion’s body with the face of King Chephren. Additionally, you will visit the Valley Temple, where King Chephren’s body was mummified.
There are opportunities to enter any of the pyramids, visit the Solar Boat Museum, or enjoy a camel ride, though these require additional fees. Our tour guide will assist you in obtaining the necessary tickets.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was connected to a causeway, which was largely destroyed during the village’s construction.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, some found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Great Sphinx - Visit the Valley Temple where priests mummified King Chephren’s body. Here, you will have a close-up view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian of the grand funerary complex, with its lion’s body and the head of King Chephren. This is a perfect spot for taking amazing photos with the Sphinx in various fun poses, and our guide will be happy to assist you.
- The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your day tour at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. On display is a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the treasures, gold, and jewelry of Tutankhamen, which were enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s.
- Cairo Citadel - Follow this with a visit to The Citadel, where you will see The Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha, built in 1835. Lunch is included between visits at a local restaurant, offering a full meal for each person, though beverages are not included.
- Khan Al-Khalili - Conclude your day tour with a visit to Khan El Khalili Bazaars. Shops in this district are renowned for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more.
At the end of the day, you will be transferred back to Cairo International Airport.
