- Giza Plateau - Begin your day at 8:00 am or earlier with a pickup from Cairo airport by a professional tour guide, who will welcome you with a sign displaying your name. You will then be transported in a private, air-conditioned, modern vehicle to start your full-day Cairo layover tour. Visit the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple, with the option to enter any of the pyramids for an additional ticket purchased on-site. A camel ride around the pyramids is included in the tour price.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was linked to a causeway, which was mostly destroyed during the village’s construction.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, some found in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860, and others during later excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex comprises a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also contained several statues of Menkaure.
- Great Sphinx - Conclude your layover day tour with a visit to the Sphinx, located near the Valley Temple. The Sphinx is the oldest and largest in Egypt, featuring a lion’s body and a human head, symbolizing power and intellect. The face of the Sphinx is a likeness of Khafre, who constructed the middle pyramid of Giza.
Camel rides and entry into any of the pyramids can be arranged but are subject to an additional charge.
After completing your visit, you will be transferred back to Cairo airport.
- The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your Cairo layover tour with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where you can see the renowned treasures of King Tutankhamen. There is also an option to visit the Mummies Room, which requires a separate ticket available for purchase on-site.
- Khan Al-Khalili - Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (optional, not included), then proceed to Khan Khalili Bazaar, one of Egypt’s oldest markets.
- Qasr El Nil Bridge - Around 6:00 pm, transfer to the Nile River for a dinner cruise. Enjoy an open buffet dinner while watching a belly dancing show and experience two hours of sailing on the Nile.
Around 10:00 pm, you will be transferred back to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.
