• Al Khor - Also known as Al Khawr, translates to “sea on three sides” in Arabic. Although older than Doha, it is significantly smaller. Al Khor is conveniently located 50 kilometers north of Doha. It was once the heart of Qatar’s pearling industry but declined in significance with the advent of cultured pearls. Today, it features a picturesque harbor with traditional fishing dhows, a corniche leading to mangrove colonies, and a museum highlighting the fishing, pearling, and dhow-building industries.

An international team of archaeologists and antiquities experts, led by the Qatar Museums Authority, has uncovered numerous artifacts displayed in the renovated fort.
• 2394+R3 - This site-specific artwork comprises twenty circular shelters, three single rings, and two double rings, which initially seem randomly scattered across the desert landscape. However, they are arranged according to the axes of a fivefold symmetrical pattern, with the ten central shelters forming a pentagram. The principles behind these patterns were recently discovered by Western mathematicians, although they may have influenced some sophisticated designs in Islamic cultures since medieval times.
