Pyramids of Giza - Begin at 8:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by a tour guide to embark on a full-day tour of the Giza Pyramids. Visit the Great Pyramids - Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos. Then, explore the Valley Temple where the priests mummified King Chephren’s body. Here, you will also get an up-close view of The Sphinx, the legendary guardian with a lion’s body and the head of King Chephren, standing by the grand funeral complex.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your day tour to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which showcases the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. It features a rare collection of over 250,000 authentic artifacts dating back 5,000 years, including a special exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamun. Visit the Step Pyramid (built for King Zoser), which is considered a significant part of the pyramid’s evolution from a simple mastaba to its well-known form.
Memphis and Sakkara - Then, visit the Dahshur Pyramids (Bent & Red Pyramids). The Dahshur area is a royal necropolis located in the desert on the west bank of the Nile, approximately 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo. It is primarily known for several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, constructed between 2613–2589 BCE.
Next, visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, where you can see the colossal statue of Ramses II and the magnificent Alabaster Sphinx.
