• Mountain Vista Trail - This brief loop starts and finishes at the Mountain Vista Rest Area, located at Mile 13 of the Denali Park Road. Relish the sweeping views of the Savage River Valley to the south, Mount Healy to the north, and (on clear days) Mount McKinley to the southwest.
• Savage River Loop Trail - This loop follows both sides of the Savage River as it cuts a canyon between Mount Margaret to the west and Healy Ridge to the east. The trail extends nearly 1 mile before crossing the river via a bridge and returning to the same parking area.
• Horseshoe Lake Trail - Horseshoe Lake is a charming spot about 2 miles from the Denali Visitor Center. A trail encircles the entire lake, which is sometimes inhabited by moose, beavers, and a variety of bird species.
• Sled Dog Demonstration - Rangers and dogs collaborate to showcase a traditional Alaskan mode of travel. These special 30-minute programs include a chance to tour the park kennels and meet Denali’s Alaskan huskies.
