For those traveling from Anchorage to Whittier, please schedule your booking for noon. We will pass through the Anton Anderson Tunnel at 1:30 PM, arriving at the cruise ship by 1:45 PM. The Anton Anderson Tunnel is fascinating, opening only on the half-hour for entry into Whittier.

Departing Whittier - Cruise Disembarkation
For departures from Whittier, select the time closest to your ship’s scheduled departure, typically 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM. We will use the 8 AM or 9 AM Anton Anderson Tunnel. This toll tunnel is incredible, opening only on the hour for departures from Whittier.

1. Pickup is available in Whittier with drop-off in Anchorage, or pickup in Anchorage with drop-off in Whittier. This service is tailored for transportation to and from the cruise ships in Whittier for groups of up to 10 people. Beyond transportation, the operator provides a narrated tour, sharing Alaska’s history and highlighting scenic views. Enjoy photo stops at picturesque locations, weather and time permitting.

2. For those returning to the airport from Whittier, pickup is available at the time your cruise departs, typically around 8 AM. Specific times can be arranged via message.

3. The Anton Anderson Tunnel is a unique, 2.7-mile-long tunnel with a rich history. It is bi-directional, sharing a single lane with trains. The tunnel opens on the hour for departures from Whittier and on the half-hour for entries into Whittier. While it generally aligns with our schedule, occasional delays may occur. The transfer is timed for a smooth experience.

4. For cruise ship departures from Anchorage, pickup is available from your Airbnb or hotel. The drive takes about an hour and a half, with photo stops planned to ensure timely tunnel access.

5. Upon arrival at the cruise ship, luggage will be delivered to the longshoremen, allowing you to check in while your bags are transported to your room. Having ship tags on your bags is helpful but not mandatory; tagging can be done upon drop-off. The operator has extensive experience with this process, ensuring no issues arise. Remember to have your passports ready when dropping off your bags.

6. After booking, communication is available via the Viator app, with messages sent directly to the operator’s email for prompt responses. Specific requests are welcome to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience.

7. As the owner/operator, the service is personal and attentive, not provided by an employee or company driver. The operator is dedicated to making your journey as enjoyable and effortless as the rest of your vacation. The new Mercedes Sprinter accommodates up to 10 people. Early booking is recommended, as only one or two transfers are available per day during the cruise ship season.
