Fantastic cataraman trip seeing the dolphins & Benagril caves ! - First of all, we had quite a bit of waiting around as you are told to arrive half an our before.
However it was so worth it! What an amazing experience! 😀 We were a family group of 4 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 children. Everyone one thoroughly enjoyed it.
We got to see the beautiful coast, beaches, church on a cliff and the Benagril caves ! We then experienced seeing the dolphins swimming in the sea near us! Then we watched the sunset!
The thrill of sailing quickly was a buzz!
Yet there were also times the cataraman stopped to view things....a.perfect balance.
The crew we're all lovely, very happy and helpful. Highly recommend!
Would maybe take a.towel as we were near back near & got.drenched at times!!
A trip we will all never forget! Thank you

First class saw lots of dolphins while caring for the Marine life - Absolutely amazing !!!! We were looked after by Miquel , Lara and Manuel . I loved that the crew were dedicated to the welfare of the dolphins . Took their time slowed down and waited so we got the chance to see them close up , compared to other boats that just sped towards them. The knowledge we found out from Lara about the different species of dolphins was brilliant. Views of caves were incredible and the captain was very careful and great at steering the boat . Would highly recommend for all ages . Will definitely experience more of their tours . Thank you to the crew for a wonderful time!!

Great experience - Really enjoyed the whole experience, the only thing I would do different would be to take a rain jacket as it does get quite cold, especially after the sea spray.

Good trip - This was a really good catamaran trip as a family of four. The crew were professional and informative and even though it was a bit of a choppy cooler day we got to stop and watch the dolphins before the other boats arrived and they swam about the boat giving us a great view! The caves and coastline were picturesque but we loved the addition of the film soundtrack which accompanied the caves visit as that was fun!

Fun and comfortable boat ride, but dolphins did not come to play! - The views were beautiful, amazing view of the caves. The crew were friendly and helpful and made it a fun boat journey. Unfortunately we did not see the dolphins but we utilised the guarantee feature of the activity so just awaiting details of how to access this refund. Although I understand dolphins are in the wild and they cannot control where they are, the extra cost of the guarantee option made it feel more likely to see them, but they did not come out to play during our trip. Overall, still a lovely experience and a lovely way to see the coastline and beaches.

Recommended if you have a spirit of adventure and are not a nervous passenger. - We thoroughly enjoyed this trip and have no complaints. A few points of information if you are thinking of going on this excursion. There are two options: going by RiB or by catamaran. We chose the catamaran. If you think this will give you a smooth and dry ride, think again. It’s a fast boat that crashes across the waves rather than cuts through them, so it’s a bumpy ride, sometimes bone jarringly so. They make it clear that this trip is not suitable for those who are pregnant or have back issues; that is why. They also include the elderly which I suppose we are but we still enjoyed it. You also do get wet, even drenched at times. All part of the fun as far as we were concerned. You are advised to bring a waterproof but we had not brought ours with us. I wonder if the company has thought of selling cheap ponchos or even hiring out reusable ones. My only minor niggle is the loud music that was sometimes played and we did not enjoy, just our personal taste but we appreciate that this is an excursion for all ages.
I feel that some of the negative reviews I have read are a little unfair. No company can guarantee that you will see dolphins in the wild - you do have the opportunity to of buying a money back guarantee if it is essential for you to see them. The sea is also to an extent unpredictable and will be more choppy out to sea than close to the beach. The boat will pitch and roll when stationary as you see dolphins, so if you’re prone to sea sickness, this is not the trip for you. It is announced at the beginning of the trip that there are lifejackets and there are plenty of lockers on the vessel with signs indicating that lifejackets are stored in them. I think it is reasonable to expect the captain to have the necessary experience to know when to tell passengers to don them. He seemed to me very skilled in manoeuvring his vessel in close proximity to others and the rocks.
We found everyone at the Algar Experience friendly and polite and thank them for an enjoyable afternoon.

2 hours DE delay so cancellation - The boat is EN broken down, so another smaller one will replace it in 2 hours!!!
So we canceled and took another company. On the way back, we met our “boat EN breakdown” that was leaving the port full DE tourists!!!

Is the Captain not supposed to make decisions? - On a windy day, we expected choppy waters. You book this tour, knowing two things.
Firstly, you are not guaranteed to see the dolphins. Secondly, you are at the hands of the winds and ocean.
We arrived and receive plenty of communication and the check in was easy to find.
As we set off, we had our safety briefing before heading out into the waters. After around 15 minutes, the captain came over the microphone to ask who wanted to turn around and go back to shore. Around half the boat wanted to which was a real shame.
You book knowing that it might be choppy waters but to leave the decision up to the passengers doesn’t seem right. I’d the captain deemed it safe, which he did as he was willing to carry on, the tour should continue. Instead, we wasted 3 hours travelling and waiting around to go out for 15 minutes.
We were offered a new trip on a different day, but with winds for a few days and another 3 hour trip, we opted for a refund.
