Trip to Silves - Our guide Benny was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and good fun. A great 1/2 day trip to the mountains...... very different to the coast.

Well worth visiting - Mario was a very good guide and very knowledgeable, especially about Monchique and it's social culture. Silves is definitely worth a visit too with such a historical background. Would recommend this tour if you want to see different aspects of the Algarve away from the beautiful beaches and golf courses.

Definitely worth doing - Mario was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable and made the trip very enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and learned about a country we knew little about.

Silves & Monchique - Tiago was very kind and enthousiastic. He explained a lot about the area, we really liked it. The castle and Montanha Foia were nice to visit.

We ended up on the full... - We ended up on the full day tour due to not enough people being on the half day. Rui was fantastic and can not praise him enough, he is a massive credit to alsafari and deserves a pay rise! Had a great day and will definitely go on more tours in the future when visiting.

A wonderful excursion in the Algarve! - We absolutely loved our excursion to Silves and Monchique and it was a perfect way to experience a more authentic Algarve. Our tour guide Al was very knowledgeable and drove us through the scenic routes to get to our destination, which was very appreciated. We passed through plenty of farms - oranges, avocado, and sugar snap were a few of the things we saw growing - Al even broke us off a sugar snap each. We spent less time in Silves than we were expecting but it was still enough time to explore the local castle with some beautiful panoramic views. The highlight of the tour for us was on the drive from Silves to Mount Foia, in which we stopped off for a freshly picked orange (the best orange we’ve ever tasted!), saw cork trees, and had a little taster session in a local firewater distillery. These little detours added a touch of sincerity to the trip, and made the view from the top all the more worth it. We also had a very cheap lunch in Monchique with our fellow tour-goers which was a lovely end to the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a day trip during their time in Albufeira!

Cool experience in Monchique/Foia - Before making a tour, make sure places we pay to visit are open. We were expecting to visit church next to fortress in Silves but was closed👎 Tour mentioned optional lunch but it was never offered? Density in back seats of VW Van, very rough ride. Pick up at front of our condo was very appreciated.
