- Alexandria - A knowledgeable Egyptologist will collect guests at 7:30 am from their hotel in Cairo or Giza. They will then be transported in a deluxe, air-conditioned vehicle with a private tour guide. Arrival in Alexandria is expected around 10:00 am, where the day begins with a visit to Qaitbay Fort. This fort, a symbol of Alexandria, was constructed on the ancient island of Pharos over the ruins of the renowned lighthouse between 1477-1480 AD. Following this, guests will explore The Serapeum and Pompey’s Pillar. The site, once home to the ancient temple of Serapis, features the tallest column carved from a block of red granite, mistakenly linked to Pompey.
The tour continues to the Roman Odeum (theatre) at Kom al-Dikka, dating back to the 4th century AD. Originally roofed, its tiers could seat 600 spectators. The journey proceeds to the Catacombs of Kom al-Shuqafa, the most significant hypogeum in Alexandria, dating from the 2nd century AD.
The day concludes with a view of the Alexandria Bibliotheca (from the outside) before returning to the hotel in Cairo or Giza. Lunch is included between visits at a local restaurant.

Great trip to Alexandria - Excellent clean van and wonderful guide. Lunch was an incredible fish dinner on the Mediterranean! The sites were very interesting.

Morning well spent! - I was taken around by tourguide Manar. She was amazing, very friendly, generous with her time and really was interested in showing us around. She was cheerful and knew a lot about the place. Definitely recommend this tour group.

So Good - Great experience, Ali came with us, gave us a wonderful tour, and took us to a very nice restaurant where we were able to select our fresh sea food prior to it being cooked

Alexandria with Sharife - Sharife was a pleasure and was an excellent help throughout the day. He took wonderful pictures, was very knowledgeable, and spent the right amount of time at each pace. Our driver, Islam, was very safe and took great care of us for the drive to and back from Alexandria. It was a wonderful day, I highly recommend

Great day with familly - This was an incredible tour of the city of Alexandria by our driver and tour guide Nermen,We were picked up on time. We stopped for breakfast after an hour and reached Alexandria very early. The tour guide let us take more time for the break because we had kids.
The guide knew all about the historical sites. We decided to spend much time around the beach (it was a warm day).
Lunch was fantastic by the Mediterranean fresh fish & there was a vegetarian food!! The driver was great. The sites were mesmerizing.
A really memorable trip to a historic city.

Very nice experience - We travelled as one family to Alexandria with a very helpful guide and friendly driver. A big thank for this excellent day trip. We loved this stunning places such as Pompey's Pillar, the Roman amphitheater and Alexandria library and hope to travel with you again.

Awesome day in the sun - Had a great day in Alexandria with our guide Sharif (with Viator tour company). He made sure we were happy and was very personable! He gave us a great backstory to all of the cites we visited (citadel, Pompey’s pillar, catacombs and library). He also made sure to take lots of nice pictures for us without us even needing to ask. Would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to visit this part of Egypt!!!

We had a full day tour of... - <p>We had a full day tour of Alexandria. It took us about 2 and 1/2 hours to get there from Giza but well worth it. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all of Ancient Egyptian History. Visiting the catacombs was amazing and the whole day was great. Had lunch overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Highly recommend visiting Alexandria.</p>
