Unique Library - The library has an impressive collection of books and variety of activities over eleven gradual floors. It’s architecture is striking with the main room located beneath a high glass panelled roof. There are facilities for the blind and impaired and the multimedia section was impressive. Munir D.

The most awaiting place to visit! - Fantastic place to visit! Huge construction facing the sea. Great location: we paid 8.5 Egyptian pounds each by bus from Stanley Bridge. We were a little bit confused coz the entrance was aside but there is a policeman explains you where to go. Prices for foreign tourists are different but it's normal. When you enter the area, there will be one main building where all the museums and reading halls are. Was nice to know there is a possibility to buy a guiding tour in different languages. Most of the staff speak fluent English, though. If I'd live in Alexandria, i would be coming very often here to. This place has a spirit! My 7 years old little one spent 1 hour reading a book in the children library area; we hardly took him out of here. Ahh, and there are different workshops for kids there as well. There is something you should know about if you are an individual tourist: - to enter the library, you have to go around and around twice to the left along the streets. (a bit difficult to find a ticket office for an individual, especially foreigner); - kids are not allowed to enter main reading hall but there is children library upstairs; - nothing to be bought in bookshop. - planetarium is not really for watching the stars but 3 times per day scheduled themes are offered there; - there is an art gallery downstairs - without any reason photo shooting is forbidden. - information presented in the museums are mixed up somehow.

Alexandria Library and Pompey's Pillar - The Library was an interesting stop to see the building and layout etc. The start was not great with a rude ticket man saying cash only cash when clearly they took card but quicker not to. It's not expensive 60 or 80 LE£ each but if possible I like to pay by card keeping my notes free. Pompey's pillar is interesting but if you've you been to the other Egyption sites first you'll probably think " oh is that it" 🤔 A good visit to tick off a list but not amazing.
