• Fort Qaitbey - Guests will be picked up and then visit Fort Qaitbay. This fort in Alexandria is one of the most significant defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. It played a crucial role in the fortification system of Alexandria during the 15th century AD. Fort Qaitbay is located at the entrance of the eastern harbor on the eastern point of Pharos Island, built on the exact site of the renowned Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The lighthouse remained operational until the Arab conquest.
• Alexandria Unknown Naval Soldier Memorial - Situated in the Mansheya area of Alexandria, this memorial was constructed by the Italian community as a tribute to Khedive Ismail for his significant contributions to Egypt’s developmental and urban renaissance during his reign from 1863 AD to 1879 AD. It also honors Egypt for hosting the last king of Italy, Victor Emmanuel III, after his abdication, as he chose Alexandria as his residence. The design resembles the Unknown Soldier memorial in Venice Square, Rome.
• Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa are the largest Roman cemetery. Visitors can find well-preserved artifacts from various eras, including ancient Egyptian and Roman tomb inscriptions. In 1900, a donkey accident led to the discovery of carved tombs and burial chambers in a cave.
• Bibliotheca Alexandrina - Visitors will also explore the open court to view the statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I, along with the library’s museums. This complex has become a major cultural venue in Egypt, hosting numerous international performers and housing a collection of remarkable museums. Guests will visit the President Sadat Museum and the Impressions of Alexandria Museum. Note that the Bibliotheca is closed on Fridays.
• Saint Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral - Guests will visit the oldest church in Africa. During the drive, they will see the old downtown area and its historical architecture, featuring Baroque-style designs and Italian and French-style properties.
• Pompey’s Pillar - This is one of the remarkable sites guests will pass by, with an opportunity to stop and take photos.
• Ancient Roman Amphitheater - Discovered by chance in 1960, the amphitheater was found when the Egyptian government was preparing to construct a building in the Kom El Dekka area. A worker uncovered a solid column beneath the dust and sand, prompting an excavation team to investigate. The Roman theater, built in the 4th century AD and used until the 7th century, was a significant 20th-century discovery, spanning the Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic eras.

Begin your day with our guide, who will be waiting for you at Alexandria Port or your hotel, holding a sign with your names. The tour will start with a visit to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, where you can explore the open court and admire the statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I, as well as the library’s museums. Next, you will explore the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the largest Roman cemetery, followed by a stop at Pompey’s Pillar. The tour continues with a visit to Fort Qaitbay and the Church of St. Mark Cathedral, the oldest church in Africa. You will also see the Ancient Roman Amphitheatre, which was discovered by chance in 1960. Additionally, you will pass by the Naval Unknown Soldier before returning to your drop-off location.
