• Ancient Roman Amphitheater - The Alexandria amphitheater was discovered by chance in 1960. While preparing to construct a government building in the Kom El Dekka area, a worker uncovered a solid column beneath the dust and sand. An excavation team was promptly dispatched to investigate the find. This Roman theater was a significant 20th-century discovery, built in the 4th century AD and used until the 7th century, spanning the Roman, Byzantine, and Islamic periods.
• Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Initially belonging to a wealthy Roman family for burials around the 2nd century AD, the tombs at Kom Al-Shuqafa were later expanded and used until the 4th century AD. They contain numerous graves, including a mass grave of animal and human remains linked to a mass execution by Roman Emperor Caracalla in 215 AD. The tombs are centered around a spiral staircase leading through several levels, with the lower levels flooded. Accessible areas feature walls richly decorated with a unique blend of Greek, Roman, and Egyptian iconography.

• Serapeum of Alexandria - You will also pass by Pompey’s Pillar, the only known free-standing column in Roman Egypt, not composed of drums. It is one of the largest ancient monoliths and monolithic columns ever erected. The column shaft measures 20.46 meters in height with a base diameter of 2.71 meters, weighing an estimated 285 tons. Pompey’s Pillar stands 26.85 meters high, including its base and capital. You can take photos from outside without entering.
• Fort Qaitbey - Next, visit Qaitbay Fort in Alexandria, one of the most significant defensive strongholds in Egypt and along the Mediterranean Sea coast. It was a crucial part of Alexandria’s fortification system in the 15th century AD. Located at the entrance of the eastern harbor on Pharos Island’s eastern point, it was built on the site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The lighthouse functioned until the Arab conquest, despite several disasters altering its shape. Restoration began during Ahmed Ibn Tulun’s period in 880 AD. Afterward, your guide and driver will return you to your hotel.

The 11-story library can contain up to 4 million volumes of books Also you will visit Roman Amphitheater which was founded by Alexander the great in 332 B.C on the site of old fishing village.you will also visit Fort Qaitbey and pass by Pompay’s Pillar and take photos from outside also you will pass by Stanely Bridge.
