Cairo - Alexandria Tour 1

Cairo - Begin with a pickup from your hotel and travel to Alexandria.

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Start by exploring the Catacombs of Kom El Shokafa, the largest Roman cemetery, featuring three levels carved into the rock.

Ancient Roman Amphitheater - Next, visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, showcasing the sunken monuments discovered under Alexandria’s East harbor. You’ll also pass by Pompay’s Pillar for a photo opportunity, constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century.

Lighthouse of Alexandria - Proceed to the Citadel of Quaitbay, where you can capture stunning photos both inside and outside.

Bibliotheca Alexandria - The following stop is the Library of Alexandria, the world’s largest library, housing 8 million books. Explore its open court, featuring statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy the First, discovered underwater nearby.

Visit the library’s reading hall, the President Saddat Museum, and the Impressions of Alexandria Museum.

Note: The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays and public holidays.

Optional lunch at a modern fish restaurant or the renowned traditional Alexandrian eatery, Mohamed Ahmed’s, frequented by the Queen of Spain and other notable visitors.

St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria - The tour continues with a visit to St. Mark’s Church, the oldest church in Africa. During the drive, enjoy views of the old downtown and its historical architecture, featuring baroque designs and Italian and French-style properties.

Alexandria Tour 2 - Cairo

Sidi Morsi Abu al-Abbas Mosque - The journey proceeds to the city’s most beautiful and largest mosque, with a photo stop at the Abbo Elabbas Mosque.

Kayetbai - Across from the mosque is the corniche and the old harbor, where you can observe traditional fishing boats, fishermen, and net-making. The photo opportunities here are exceptional. Continue to view the exterior of Quaitbay Castle, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This spectacular castle offers a great photo stop, followed by a visit inside the Citadel.

Montazah Gardens - Next, visit Montazah Palace Gardens, the royal gardens of King Farouk, Egypt’s last king. Enjoy a photo stop at King Farouk’s royal palace and explore the queens’ royal beaches.

Stanley Bridge - On the way, pass by the famous Stanley Bridge, a modern landmark symbolizing contemporary Alexandria.

Cairo - Return to Cairo in an air-conditioned car, with arrival and transfer to your hotel.
