As you explore, you’ll enter through the Portal de San José, a tunnel carved into the rock that leads into the charming old town of Guadalest.
Inside the castle complex, you can visit the ruins of the Castle of San José, which was heavily damaged in earthquakes and battles yet still retains its historical charm.
Visitors can also explore the Orduña House, an 18th-century noble residence filled with period furnishings and artifacts.
The town itself is filled with quaint cobblestone streets, numerous museums, and artisan shops offering local crafts, souvenirs, and delicacies.
