Camping and touring the Red Centre of Australia - Tristan, from Autopia tours put on an excellent 3 day camping and hiking tour of the Red centre for us. Full of beautiful sites, early rises for sunsets and hikes, good food, lots of laughs, good stories around the camp fire and learning lots of interesting facts about the region. Thoroughly enjoyable even for us over 65. What a beautiful place! Go!!

Great experience - We did the 3 day trip, it was combined with the 4 day trip. Our tour guide, JIm (Jemima) was great. All the sights were fantastic, the hikes are nice and doable by most people. Our group was 21, there were multiple countries represented, but everyone got along fine. We chose the tent option. They were pretty basic, but comfortable, set on a raised platform, two cots. It was not too hot during the day nor too cold at night. Campfires at night. Good food. In this tour everyone is expected to chip in and help, whether it be preparing or cooking the food, clean up, or getting the fire going. A few negatives: The van is pretty cramped especially in the back row. At both camps, but especially the first one, the bathrooms are quite a ways from the campsite. The time driving is pretty long, but there are stops for coffee/food/bathroom every hour or so. The flies during the daytime will drive you crazy if you don't have netting over your head. You can buy netting at most places, but the first place we tried, the Uluru visitor center, was sold out. Overall, this was a great trip and experience.

Desert adventure - Unforgettable tour! Our guide, Jim, was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate about the land and its stories. Her insights into the local culture and environment added so much depth to the experience. Plus, she had a great sense of humour and created such a relaxed, fun vibe in the group. This trip was the perfect mix of adventure, culture, and connection – highly recommended! And just to let you know in advance: the moon can be really bright (especially during full moon) and your guide cannot do anything about it 😄

Magnificent Times From Alice Springs to the Outbacks! - We had an amazing time sightseeing the many beautiful views with the guide and group. Our guide, Lorrie, was very informative, efficient and helpful. She explained the culture and history of the areas and answered our questions. She made sure we arrived at sunrise and sunset locations in time to grab front row seats and remain together as a group. We had a remarkable time with Lorrie and team members that made remarkable memories!

Great time in the Outback - I don’t often write reviews. I only usually do them when the tour is bad or really good. I am glad to say this was a fantastic tour. It was great not only because of the format of the trip but also because of the great tour guide….Lorrie. The tour itself in regards to where we went, what we did, food and where we stayed was a great experience. The tour guide was more than great. She provided her expertise, worked extremely hard to insure everyone had a great experience, was professional, humorous, knowledgeable and provided us with a great experience…..I can’t say enough great things about her. Come prepared to enjoy yourselves, meet some new people, work together and do some great hiking. I would recommend this tour for anyone that wants a great experience in the outback of Australia. It has my highest recommendation.

Experience of a lifetime - We had the most amazing guide, Damian, who made this trip so special! He constantly made sure everyone was feeling well and had a good time. As we were travelling with kids it was incredibly comforting to know, that we were in good hands. Damian also was extremely knowledgeable and everything he talked about automatically had a positive connotation. Seeing the Red Center, and especially Uluru at sunset, is an awesome experience in itself, but Damian truly made it the experience of a lifetime.

Alice Springs 3 days red centre to Kings Canyon - Remember to bring toiletry and head lights. The tourist guide, Jemima (Jem) is fantastic. She has good knowledge of Alice Springs and outback survival, and truly passionate about her job and people in her care. We are very impressed by this young lady with her experience and independence. We were well looked after by her.

Experience of a lifetime - What an experience! Love the small group; beautiful and diverse scenery; challenging hikes with plenty of time to relax; and conscientious, knowledgeable and fun guides. Jim and Silvia were awesome. Passionate about the land and culture; group’s safety paramount; organized and efficient (in a good way); they are both compassionate and supportive with a great sense of humor. Jim and Silvia made an experience of a lifetime truly special. Thank you! Susan, WI/USA

VERY MIXED REVIEWS - We were a group of 12 people + 2 young female guides, of different nationalities, and all exchanged in English. The atmosphere was very good. The information provided by the guides was clear and interesting. On the other hand, first negative point about the accommodation on the 1st night: I expected to spend the night in bush swag in a nice setting. But we spent the night lying between the local kitchen and tents, surrounded by ants running on the ground. Second negative: a lot of time wasted repeating instructions (heat, drinking, sunscreen, etc...), too much time wasted lazy (reading, swimming) instead of walking and discovering the outback. We haven't even been around Ayers Rock! Attic! Same for Kata Tjuta: we stayed on the observation platform to trample! Third point, and that makes it ridiculous! Autopia informs us that it reserves the right to accept this or that person to make the exit, depending on his health and the weather. And there were our two guides who were tired and breathless. With several other tourists, we decided to follow a sign saying "look out", but they did not agree!! In short, this excursion is perfect for discovering the region, with family or for the elderly or sick, but not to explore it! As an athlete, I am extremely disappointed! Autopia should provide sporty and healthy guides (male or female), which was not the case here. At least I was able to get in touch with real guides on the spot for a next stay and a real trek!
