Alice Springs to Uluru

Alice Springs - Departing early from Alice Springs, the journey heads towards Uluru, with a stop at the Mt Connor (often mistaken for Uluru) lookout and Curtin Springs for a restroom break before arriving at the campground for lunch.

Ayers Rock Airport - Alternatively, enjoy a complimentary pick-up service from Ayers Rock Airport or Ayers Rock Campground, marking the start of your outback adventure.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre - Be prepared to be amazed by the heart of the Red Centre, rich in heritage and Aboriginal significance, which you will explore further at the interpretive cultural centre.

Mutitjulu Waterhole - Experience Uluru up close as you take a base walk to the Mutitjulu waterhole, uncovering sacred rock art sites and ancient creation stories.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park - Discover the stunning Kantju Gorge, featuring Central Australia’s tallest waterfall and an elders’ cave, concluding your day with a breathtaking sunset at Uluru lookout, accompanied by a delicious dinner.

Uluru - Kata Tjuta - Ayers Rock

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park - Start your day early with a light breakfast as you head towards a captivating sunrise in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Witness the magnificent silhouette of Kata Tjuta, a truly remarkable sight.

Valley of the Winds - Set off on an invigorating hike through the breathtaking Valley of the Winds or Walpa Gorge, admiring the impressive conglomerate rock formations.

Kata Tjuta - The Olgas - Complete your Kata Tjuta adventure and return to Yulara Resort or Ayers Rock Airport for your onward journey. The estimated drop-off time is shortly after midday. To ensure a seamless trip, it is highly recommended to book an extra night in Yulara in case of unexpected delays within the National Park. Driving distance: 150 km. Hike distance: 2-5 km / 2-4 hours (weather dependent).

As you journey through the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, your expert local guide will share insightful commentary, intriguing stories, and hidden gems, breathing life into the Red Centre’s secrets.
We have comfortable twin permanent safari tents providing a little more comfort, privacy, and security, or you can try out a traditional swag experience (canvas-covered bedroll).

• A minimum moderate to advanced level of fitness is required to complete the walks. Therefore a medium/high level of fitness is required and a doctor’s certificate is required for people over 75 years (30 days prior to travel).
• The tour operator must be notified of any known medical conditions at the time of booking. This is a very physical tour and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility.
• While we endeavour to cater to most dietary needs, passengers must advise dietary requirements to their booking agent at the time of booking. As we are venturing to remote areas we are very limited in what we can source once the tour departs, therefore prior notice is required.
• Children aged between 8 to 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult or legal guardian at all times. Not suitable for infants or children 7 years and under, due to safety requirements and the level of fitness required to complete the walk.
• Limited storage space in our vehicles. Baggage must be kept to 1 x 15kg travel bag, 1 x 5kg day bag. Not suitable for mobility-impaired travellers, wheelchairs, walkers or strollers.
• Please ensure you have checked the average temperatures for the time of year you are travelling and have packed adequate clothing.
• Please advise at time of booking whether you require a hire of a sleeping bag?
• Guests are asked to participate in the preparation of meals, clean up and vehicle unpacking/loading, so everyone can relax together after a long day of touring. It’s also a great way to get to know and connect with your fellow travellers.
